Abstract

A system for detecting a data flow from cash windows 10 and a central computer 12, and for the correlated pseudorandom emitting of signals to determine a winning. A shunt element 13 arranged on the data transmission line sends a copy of the data flow to a first selection device 16, which extracts from the data flow predetermined information constituting identification codes for products purchased at the cash registers. The selection device 16 sends the selected identification codes to a comparison device 17. The comparison device has a memory containing predetermined codes to be recognised in the identification codes and upon recognition it emits an activation signal for a pseudorandom device 20 generating a winning signal with probability P. <IMAGE>
