Abstract

This invention relates to a prosthetic implant for use as a dental implant of the type comprising a bolt for screwing into bone which has a body of elongated shape of biocompatible material with at least one length of its outer surface which can be inserted into bone tissue being provided with a thread. The prosthetic implant also comprises a stump which can be associated with the longitudinal end of the endosseal bolt which is designed to project from the bone tissue. This longitudinal end of the endosseal bolt has a lowered frustoconical zone which provides a supporting zone for the base of the stump shaped with a frustoconical projection which can be coupled with said lowered zone in such a way as to obtain an optimum distribution of the forces deriving from chewing which are passed from the stump to the endosseal bolt and from this to the surrounding bony tissue. <IMAGE>
