Abstract

Zr, Hf, V e Nb.L'invenzione riguarda pure un procedimento per ottenere ghisa nodulare comprendente le fasi di: aggiungere ad un bagno di ghisa grigia contenente meno dello 0,015% di zolfo e meno dello 0,04% di fosforo, un carico tra circa 0,2 e 1,2% riferito al peso del bagno di almeno una ferrolega avente la formula Fe-FeM o Fe-MC, in cui M è almeno uno degli elementi scelto dal gruppo costituito da Ti, Ta, Zr, Hf, V e Nb; effettuare almeno una nodulizzazione del bagno mediante inoculazione di magnesio a basso tenore di ferrosilicio in esso; e scaricare il bagno metallico nodulizzato nello stampo.(Fig. 2)Nodular cast iron and process for obtaining nodular cast iron called nodular cast iron comprising: a bainitic, martensitic, pearlitic or ferritic metallic matrix having a degree of purity of about 99.6% in which the sulfur and phosphorus contents are kept lower than 0.015% and 0 , 04% respectively; from 10 to 12% by volume of graphite particles and from about 0.2 to 1.2% by volume of high hardness carbide particles of the type Mc, said particles being dispersed in the molten metal matrix, wherein M is at least one of the elements chosen by the group consisting of Ti, Ta. Zr, Hf, V and Nb. The invention also relates to a process for obtaining nodular cast iron comprising the steps of: adding to a gray cast iron bath containing less than 0.015% sulfur and less than 0.04% phosphorus, a load between about 0.2 and 1.2% referring to the weight of the bath of at least one ferroalloy having the formula Fe-FeM or Fe-MC, wherein M is at least one of the elements chosen from the group consisting of Ti, Ta, Zr, Hf , V and Nb; carrying out at least one bath nodulation by inoculation of low ferrosilicon magnesium content therein; and drain the nodulated metal bath into the mold.
