L'invenzione riguarda una fresa bitagliente monoinserto, comprendente un solo inserto (11) posto e fissato in una cava (18) ricavata nel corpo-fresa (12) in modo da sporgere da due lati di questo corpo formando due taglienti principali (13,14) e nella quale i due taglienti (13,14), ad inserto fissato in detta cava (18) del corpo-fresa, presentano, nel senso di rotazione della fresa, distanze angolari (b,c) diverse tra loro e macrogeometria di taglio tra loro diversa, la cava (18) potendo essere scentrata e/o con un angolo assiale diverso da 0°.Fig.6
