Abstract
Process for the separation of ursodeoxycholic acid from chenodeoxycholic acid consisting of preparing the salt of a mixture of the two acids with an (aliphatic, cyclic or aromatic) amine in a suitable organic solvent, in which the salt of the chenodeoxycholic acid passes into solution while the salt of the ursodeoxycholic acid remains in suspension.
