Abstract

This invention relates to a small amphibious vehicle with three retractable wheels in the form of a tricycle which is capable of easily moving in urban traffic because of the compactness of its road configuration and which is able to travel in water driven by a water jet at high speeds and despite being of exceptionally short horizontal length without the hazard of overturning when accelerating as a result of the ability to increase the length of the hull and at the same time retracting the front wheel. It is also provided with variable trim so that traction can be restricted to only the rear wheels allowing it the ability to exit from the water. The vehicle is also capable of travelling over shallow bottoms and has limited off-road capabilities. It consists of a body acting as a float and an integral frame which supports a system of retractable wheels, the motor and various other components. <IMAGE>
