Abstract

Viene descritto un regolo elettronico di tipo tascabile che, in funzione di deficit motori riscontrati in muscoli test dell'arto superiore, rispettivamente di quello inferiore, consente di identificare la sede di lesioni del sistema nervoso periferico che si irradia dal plesso brachiale, rispettivamente dal plesso lombo-sacrale.Il regolo comprende due schemi anatomici che rappresentano il sistema nervoso periferico che si irradia dal plesso brachiale, rispettivamente dal plesso lombo-sacrale: in ciascun punto di diramazione dei due schemi ed in corrispondenza dei relativi rami terminali è allocata una casella in cui sono riportati i muscoli test (appartenenti all'arto superiore, rispettivamente a quello inferiore) controllati dalla corrispondente porzione del sistema nervoso.Una pluralità di tasti consente all'operatore di selezionare e marcare i muscoli test presentanti un deficit motorio; viene identificata come sede della lesione la casella in cui sono marcati tutti e soli i muscoli test il cui deficit motorio è considerato significativo per il particolare tipo di lesione.A pocket-type electronic rule is described which, as a function of motor deficits found in test muscles of the upper limb, respectively of the lower limb, allows to identify the site of lesions of the peripheral nervous system that radiates from the brachial plexus, respectively from the plexus lumbosacral.The ruler includes two anatomical diagrams that represent the peripheral nervous system that radiates from the brachial plexus, respectively from the lumbosacral plexus: at each branch of the two diagrams and in correspondence with the related terminal branches a box is allocated in to which the test muscles (belonging to the upper limb, respectively to the lower limb) controlled by the corresponding portion of the nervous system are shown. A plurality of keys allows the operator to select and mark the test muscles presenting a motor deficit; the box in which all and only the test muscles whose motor deficit is considered significant for the particular type of injury are identified as the site of the lesion.
