System for selecting and bending bars for building work suitable for simultaneously selecting and bending a plurality of bars in a substantially identical manner starting from substantially identical bars, comprising at least one store, a translation roller table, cutting and measuring shears, at least one mobile arm for gripping and longitudinal positioning, and a support bench: - said translation roller table 17 presenting means for abutting bundles of bars 14 on an abutting surface 18, - between said translation roller table 17 and the shears 39 there being fork means 20 for the positioning and vertical centring of the bundle of bars 14, - said mobile gripping and positioning arm 31 having gripping pincers 34 at the bottom and cooperating with said abutting surface 18, there being a relative vertical movement between said mobile arm 31 and said shears 39 during the transitory overtaking movement.
