Abstract

The method for making goblet-shaped elements of homokinetic joints of Glaenzer type comprises the following operations: - feeding a preheated cylindrical element to a horizontal forge having at least three consecutive stamping stations in order to produce - a first semifinished piece 10 having a first circular cylindrical portion 10a of essentially constant diameter, connected to a second portion 10b tapering into a stem, having a length less than the first portion 10a, - a second semifinished piece 20 in which the first circular cylindrical portion 10a of the first semifinished piece 10 is reduced in length with consequent increase in the relative diameter and in which the length of the second stem portion 20b is increased so as to correspond essentially to the length of the first portion 20a, at a front surface 22 of the first portion 20a opposite the second portion 20b there being made a central circular elevation 24 for centring, bounded by an annular shoulder 26 defined by a lateral wall 24a of the elevation and by the annular portion of said flat surface 22, interposed between the central elevation 24 and the cylindrical lateral wall 28 of the first portion 20a, and - a third semifinished piece 30 in which a cylindrical cavity 32 is produced central to the front surface 22 of the first portion 30a. <IMAGE>
