Abstract

Un insufflatore multidose, per somministrare per via nasale farmaci sotto forma di polvere fine o micronizzata, comprende un'unità di serbatoio di prelievo e dosaggio (60,64) del farmaco contenuto nell'unità di serbatoio (34), ed un'unità di insufflazione (42,46) comprendente una pompetta (42), azionabile manualmente per generare una corrente d'aria in un canale (26) per trasportare la singola dose di farmaco nella cavità nasale del paziente. L'unità di prelievo e dosaggio comprende un dispositivo convogliatore (60) dotato di almeno una tazza (64) per prelevare una dose di farmaco del serbatoio (34) e trasportarlo in una posizione di insufflazione. La tazza (64) ha un foro di fondo (66) coassiale attraverso il quale, quando la tazza è nella posizione di insufflazione, passa la corrente d'aria generata dalla pompetta. Il foro (66) ha una luce sostanzialmente più piccola dell'imboccatura della tazza (64) e tale da impedire, per effetto "arco", la caduta del farmaco in polvere attraverso di esso.
