Abstract

In accordance with the invention a processing cycle is provided for the production of Nabuk type skins comprising: a stage of tanning and drum fattening of skins shaved in wet blue; a drying stage; a stretching stage; a rubbing down stage; a stage of covering the outer surface of the skin by spraying upon it acrylic and/or polyurethane resins; a stage of spraying the skin with an insulating nitro-cellulose emulsion; a stage of imprinting; a stage of first dry drum treatment; a needling stage; a second drum treatment stage; a stage in which the skin is rendered impermeable by spraying a water-repellent solution upon it, in which a repeat stage comprising spraying the skin with a first polyurethane solution, a fixing stage comprising spraying a second polyurethane solution and a heat treatment stage are performed after the needling stage and before the second dry drum treatment stage.
