Abstract
Additives for cementitious composites formed from pieces 1A,3 of carbon fibre preferably blocks 1A or filamentary bodies 3, bonded together by dressing them with bonding resins and having an adhesive capacity with the cementitious matrix. The cementitious composites are cement, inert fillers, fluidizers and/or superfluidizers, expansive additives, artificial and/or natural pozzuolanas, and synthetic polymers. The method of producing the said additives involves: dressing the carbon fibres by immersing them in an aqueous dispersion of resins taken from the following group: acrylic, styrene-acrylic, styrene-butadiene, and vinyl; followed by drying and optional chopping to obtain the blocks of fibres 1A or the filamentary bodies 3 having the desired measurements. <IMAGE>
