Abstract

A machine for producing rectangular bags of filter paper for servings of products for infusion, improved so as to produce round bags of filter paper. It includes two drive rollers which pressure-heat seal two webs of filter paper, one on top of the other. These pressure-heat sealing rollers each have one or more axially and circumferentially separated series of cavities with rounded surfaces which come together to pressure-heat seal the webs around the individual servings and downstream of the said pressure-heat sealing rollers a second pair of controrotating rollers with respective cutting and mating cutting means with round cutting profiles in order to separate the round bags from the web, and also means for separating the said precut round filter bags from the waste portion of the web. <IMAGE>
