Abstract

The carousel G which feeds the products to the wrapping station S is served by at least one pair of tangential prefeed lines L1-L2, each of which works with a frequency equal to half the working frequency of said wrapping station. This allows the wrapping machine to work with safety, even at high speed. The open honeycombs 26 of the carousel, which cyclically abut on the pusher 1 of the second prefeed line L2, are controlled externally by a side element 32 provided with a longitudinal- reciprocating motion timed with said pusher.
