Abstract

1. Reciprocating marble, granite or other hard-stone saw, with cutting blade (1) coupled to flexible returning members (4 and 5), which are wound partially about two opposed pulleys or flywheels (6, 7) situated at one side and the other of the cutting blade and in the same plane as the latter, the alternating movement of rotation of the two flywheels one of which is actuated by a crank-connecting rod system driven by a motor giving rise to the alternating rectilinear movement of the cutting blade, in opposition to which is disposed a tension blade (10) situated in the same plane and which is coupled thereto by flexible members (4 and 5) carried by the flywheels (6 and 7), characterised in that the coupling between the flexible members and the cutting blade at one end and the tension blade at the other is assured bymeans of assemblies constituted by two jaws (18 and 19) disposed perpendicularly one with respect to the other and fast to movable runners (20 and 21) cooperating with sliding members (22 and 23) which move on guide means (24 and 25) provided on the frame supporting the corresponding flywheel (6 or 7), the sliding members (22 and 23) being constituted by two inclined planes (24 and 25) and the movable runners by conical rollers (22 and 23) bearing on the said two inclined planes (24 and 25).
