Abstract

Turnstile has a rotary boss carrying arms with locking mechanisms to prevent reverse rotation of the boss shaft in given positions and a release device for the locking mechanisms. The locking mechanisms for the boss shaft comprise a cam mounted on the shaft having peripheral notches to accommodate the end of a spring-loaded locking arm. The notches allow the locking arm to withdraw from them only in one given direction of rotation. The cam has several projections acting as stops for a lever which prevents the cam rotating in the given direction.
