Abstract

The high-speed conveyor is for bar-shaped items such as cigarette filter tips contained loose in a bulk hopper, having a chute with walls spaced apart to form a path for the items in a single row delivering them individually to a receiver unit at the bottom outlet. The conveyor (1) positively moves the items away from the bottom of the hopper (4) where the chute inlet (7) is situated, so that they are thrust downwards. It can comprise a suction belt with an active run forming part of the top chute wall and of the contiguous hopper bottom.
