Abstract

The racket string-tightening mechanism has means for gripping a string and for pulling on it. A disc (10) turns in a frame (1) on a first axis (2), about which a first arm (5) also turns, having a bottom clamping member at the free end. A coupling member (7) hinges on a second axis on the disc and has a top clamping member (6) at the other end. A stop on the frame works with the first arm, while components turn the disc, exerting a force at right angles to the line joining the first and second axes.
