Abstract

The pick up wheel is for the paper feed in an electrostatic copier. The metal hub is fitted with flanges (78) made from elastic material which are used to hold a number of pick up rollers (79) which come into contact with the sheets to be conveyed into the copier during rotation of the pick up wheel. The spring characteristics and the damping coefficient of the flanges are chosen to ensure that each pick up roller can be diverted in a radial direction inwards during its contact with the sheet to be conveyed whilst the profile does not show any extreme movements during the contact.
