Abstract

A control lever is rotatable about its axis and pivotable to be moved temporarily into an unstable position from which, upon release, it returns. A number of cams are carried by a driving shaft and a driven shaft. The shafts are axially mounted on the lever and the driving shaft is rotatable with it. The shafts are rotationally coupled through a lost motion device so that the driven shaft can be rotated, through a limited angle, relative to the driving shaft. The driven shaft carries at least one rotary lighting cam. When the lever is pivotted, the driven shaft rotates relative to the drive shaft to actuate the cam. The drive shaft also comprises a return cam effective to cause return motion of the driven shaft, relative to the drive shaft, upon release of the lever from its pivoted position.
