Abstract

The coupling may be utilised at a fixed distribution point and to serve mobile hospital appliances with a supply of gas or vacuum. The coupling incorporates a connector (3) and an outlet-fitting (1) assembly together with a coaxial coupling-head (7) e.g. on a hose to an appliance. The connector (3) fixes to a supply pipe (6), the assembly (1, 3) is set in a wall mounted box (104), and the head (7) attached to the fitting through hooked pins engaging a slotted flange (13). The assembly is mounted on a plate (100) and is passed through an open face of the box (104). The plate (100) may be screwed (105) to the box after the assembly (1, 3) is installed, and the box opening may also accommodate the hear (7). The plate (100) may be screwed (103) axially to spacer bars of (102) of which the opposite ends (102b) screw into a combined flange of the assembly (1, 3).
