Abstract

A l.e.d. arrangement is pref. for optical examination of eyes. The arrangement can be used as a stimulus as well as a fixation mark. The l.e.d.'s used as stimuli have equal brightness while the light sources used as fixation marks differ from the stimuli in colour and brightness level. The l.e.d.'s are transparent in an axial direction. The l.e.d.'s are combined with an auxiliary, switchable light source whose light is incident upon the rear surface of the l.e.d.'s to emerge from the light transmission side. This light source can be created by an incandescent lamp (6). Between the latter and the l.e.d. (1) a colour filter (7) can be installed. An optic fibre (5) can be installed in the same position.
