Abstract

Cooker hood comprises a device for automatically starting and stopping an extractor fan in the presence of gases, fumes, odours, vapours, etc. and an indicator light and bell. Pref. the hood contains an electronic circuit including a detector probe, an alarm bell, a potentiometer for regulating probe sensitivity, and a photoresistor. The signal emitted by the probe is amplified and controls the fan motor and the bell which is connected in conditions of darkness and disconnected in conditions of sufficient lighting by the photoresistor. The hood may also include an auxiliary external detector probe which can be transported and which allows indication of light or heavy losses of gas by means of the bell in the hood.
