Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a method and a firmware and configuration file management system (FCMS) for automatically updating firmware and configuration file of a device manager. In one embodiment, the firmware management system receives one or more inputs associated with configuration data of one or more devices coupled with the device manager. Based on the inputs, a new firmware comprising a Modbus library and new configuration file is generated. The device manager periodically requests the FCMS for availability of update in the firmware and configuration file. If the availability of update is determined, the new firmware and new configuration file is downloaded into the device manager. Thus, the system periodically checks for update and download the updated firmware and configuration file automatically. FIG. 3
