Abstract

Preparation of a pharmaceutical parenteral dosage unit of a lyophilized penicillin derivative in which the penicillin derivative is dissolved in water to a concentration of 100-135 mg/ml, as compared to the standard concentration of 200 mg/ml. The solution is then filled into a container and lyophilized by known techniques. The product is a light, fluffy lyophilized product which upon reconstitution will go into solution rapidly and completely even at the high concentration of 400 mg/ml. [GB2095551A]
