Abstract

The seat for a chair provided with a backrest, in particular an office chair, is designed as a wooden shell moulding (1), in which the seat (2) and the backrest are integral, the moulding being bent at the zone (4) located between the seat (2) and the backrest (3). The wooden shell moulding has edge bends (5 and 6) and recesses in the edge bends in the bending zone (4).
