Abstract

A building structure comprising a corrugated protective layer (11) having crests (17) and valleys (18), a plurality of rigid metal securement strips (26) applied over the corrugated protective layer (11), an outer weather-resistant covering (38) applied over the rigid metal securement strips (26), and connecting means (22) for securing said building elements together. A layer of insulation (37) may be included between the rigid metal securement strips (26) and exterior weather-resistant covering (38). The outer weather-resistant covering (38), the layer of insulation (37), and the metal securement strips (26) can be secured to the corrugated protective layer (11) without disturbing the preexisting structure.
