Abstract

The present invention provides a dextrorotatory isomer, substantially free from the laevorotatory isomer, of an optically-active compound of the general formula:- <CHEM> wherein R is a straight- or branched-chain alkyl radical containing up to 4 carbon atoms and *C denotes an asymmetric carbon atom. <??>The present invention also provides a process for the preparation of the above dextrorotatory isomers, as well as anti-hypertensively effective pharmaceutical compositions containing them.
