1454907 Herbicidal application of diphenylpyrazolium salts AMERICAN CYANAMID CO 8 Nov 1973 [7 Nov 1972 (3)] 51966/73 Addition to 1407278 Heading ASE [Also in Division C2] The invention comprises a composition for the control of wild oats and broadleaf weeds of undesirable grass plants, comprising a 1, 2 dialkyl-3, 5 diphenyl-pyrazolium wild oat herbicide of formula wherein R 1 is methyl; R 2 is C 1 to C 4 alkyl; Y, Y', Z and Z' each independently represent halogen, hydrogen, methyl or methoxy; X is an anion havling a charge of 1 to 3; and m is 1, 2 or 3; with the proviso that only one phenyl ring is substituted on the carbon para to the pyrazolium ring with a substituent other than hydrogen, in combination with a board leaf weed or grass herbicide.
