[Also in Division F4] A steel frame structure of a building comprises members 1, 2 of hollow cross-section with closed ends, the interiors of the members being interconnected by external pipes to form a water circulation system. In Fig. 1 beams 2 are secured by brackets 3 to stanchion 1 and the pipes then fitted. The pipes comprise screwthreaded end members (6, 7) with flexible extensions (8, 9) joined by a union joint (10). Alternatively brackets mechanically connecting the hollow members carry or contain the pipes. [GB1263567A]
