Abstract
A találmány berendezés nagy ionáram impulzusok előállításárainerciális elektrosztatikus behatároló eszközben. A találmány tárgya a berendezés működtetéséreszolgáló, nagy ionáram impulzusok előállítására szolgáló eljárás is. ÓThe invention is an apparatus for generating high ion current pulses in an inertial electrostatic confinement device. The apparatus includes: a conductive vacuum chamber (12) defined by a wall, electrically charged to act as an anode, and containing a fusion gas; several electron generators (18) which are placed close to the inner surface of the wall of the vacuum chamber (12) and whose purpose is to emit electrons into the vacuum chamber (12); a first cathode ray (13) consisting of a substantially spherical structure of high transparency centrally located inside the vacuum chamber (12) and defining a central space; a first potential source that provides an electric potential to the first cathode wire (13) by serving as the central cathode, where the potential between the cathode and the anode accelerates the ions towards the cathode, the ions with increased energy interact with each other and with neutral gas atoms while they stick together (converge) to create a high ion density in the central space; a second (central) grid (14) comprising a highly transparent, positively charged structure positioned near the wall of the vacuum chamber (12) to guide the emitted electrons essentially into a peripheral ionization space formed by the second grid and the vacuum chamber (12 ) is determined by its wall; a second potential source for applying an electric potential to the second grid (14) such that the electron trajectories are within the peripheral ionization field; single-gate electron tube grating device including a third (external) grating (15), which is a highly transparent spherical structure located inside the second grating (14) but outside the first grating (13), and a third potential source, in order to apply a time-varying voltage to the second grid (14) so that it repeatedly releases ion groups, which are accelerated by the action of the anode and a second grid (14) acting as a central cathode. The subject of the invention is also a method for producing high ion current pulses for operating the equipment. HE
