Abstract

In a coil assembly for an electro-mechanical transducer, a layer of resin hardenable by ultraviolet radiation is applied to the periphery or terminals of the coil, and is then hardened to provide a thin but highly durable protective coating. Examples of suitable base resins and photopolymerization initiators are disclosed. The coil may be used in the stepping motor of an electronic wristwatch.
