When the fitting is assembled, the shoulder 312 is received in the recess 208 to limit the travel of the seal 200 , and therefore the travel of the pipe 10 .

The outer diameter of the jacket locking ring 400 is slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the second cavity 308 in the nut 300.
