Abstract

A buckle for watchband can secure a buckle upper plate (10) on a buckle lower plate (8). One end of a buckle lower plate (8) is pivotably mounted to a joint (2) provided at an end of a first watchband half (1). The interior of the one end of the buckle lower plate (8) has a projection (16). The buckle upper plate (10) is pivotably mounted to the other end of the buckle lower plate (8). The joint (2) has a stop (5) stopping a downward swing of the buckle upper plate (10). A buckle side surface of the stop (5) has a groove (6). The interior surface of the buckle upper plate (10) has first and second snap hooks (14, 15) projecting therefrom and spaced along a watchband. The first snap hook (14) snaps the projection (16) of the buckle lower plate (8). The second snap hook (15) snaps the groove (6) defined in the stop (5) in the operation of the buckle. The end of the first watchband half (1) is connected to the stop (5). <IMAGE>
