Description

The invention relates to a piece of luggage according to the preamble of claim 1, as well as a method for locking a piece of luggage according to claim 15.
These are known luggage pieces, particularly suitcases, which have a luggage body comprising at least a first and a second luggage part, wherein the first and second luggage parts are pivotable relative to each other, thus enabling the luggage body to be opened or closed. Furthermore, it is common to provide at least one handle connected to the second luggage part. It is also common to provide a first and a second frame element, wherein the first frame element is arranged at an edge of the first luggage part and the second frame element is arranged at an edge of the second luggage part, with at least the first frame element having a first recess. In the closed state, the first and second frame elements engage with each other and abut against each other.
DE 20 15 503 A1 discloses a suitcase with a surrounding frame forming the closing edges of a bowl-shaped base part and a bowl-shaped cover.
In the previously existing luggage pieces, there is often a problem that, especially when a loaded lifted luggage piece is raised, a gap occurs between the first and second part of the luggage piece when the luggage is lifted in the closed and loaded state.
The features of claims 1 and 15 serve to solve this task.
The invention advantageously provides that at least one hook element is arranged on the second luggage part, which extends over the first frame element in the closed state of the luggage body and engages into the first recess in a state where the luggage is loaded and lifted by the handle, whereas the hook element does not engage into the recess when the luggage is not being lifted.
The present invention has the advantage that the hook element engages in the first recess of the first frame element when the loaded and closed baggage body is lifted. As a result, no gap can form between the first and second baggage parts. Furthermore, the present invention has the advantage that, in the non-lifted state and/or in the non-loaded state, the baggage body can be easily opened, since the hook element does not engage in the first recess.
The fastening element can be connected to the second frame element, in particular screwed and/or glued.
The hook element can also be connected to the handle. In particular, the hook element can be screwed to the handle.
The first and second frame elements can abut each other in the closed state of the luggage body and at least partially interlock.
In the closed state of the luggage compartment body, a sealing element can be arranged between the first and second frame elements.
The second frame element can have a second recess, wherein the hook element can be partially arranged in the second recess and connected to the second frame element.
The first and/or the second recess in the first and/or second frame element can be a groove in the frame element. The first and/or second frame element can be an element that encircles the first and/or second luggage part.
At least one lock can be provided, which allows the first and second luggage piece parts to be connected together in the closed state of the luggage piece body.
The luggage piece body can have at least one inner side and at least one outer side, with the hook element being arranged on the at least one inner side.
The handle can be arranged on at least one outer side, wherein the first inner side on which the hook element is arranged corresponds to the respective inner side of the first outer side on which the handle is arranged, such that the at least one hook element faces the handle.
At least one lock can be arranged on at least one outer side, on which the handle is also arranged.
The luggage piece body can have at least two main sides, two longitudinal sides, a top side and a bottom side, wherein one first outer side is one of the longitudinal sides of the luggage piece body.
The fastening element and/or the frame element can be made of a material that includes metal.
The first frame element can be connected to the first luggage body and the second frame element can be connected to the second luggage body via an adhesive layer and/or screws and/or rivets.
The handle can be connected to the hook element via screws and/or rivets.
The locking element can also be integrally connected with further components.
According to the present invention, a method for locking a luggage body having at least a first and a second luggage part of a piece of luggage may also be provided, according to one of claims 1 to 14, wherein: the hooking element interlocks the first and second luggage parts with each other when lifting the closed, loaded luggage body by a handle of the luggage, thereby preventing any gap from forming between the first and second luggage parts.
When locking, the latch element can engage a first recess of a first frame element arranged on the first luggage part.
The following description explains embodiments of the invention with reference to the drawings.
They are shown schematically: Fig. 1 shows a suitcase according to the invention, Fig. 2 shows a part of the second luggage part in the open state, Fig. 3 shows the first and second frame elements with hook element, Fig. 4 shows the first and second frame elements with hook element in the open state, Fig. 5 shows an engagement of the hook element into the first recess.
Fig. 1 shows a piece of luggage according to the present invention. The piece of luggage is, in the illustrated embodiment, a suitcase. The piece of luggage preferably has a piece of luggage body 2, which comprises at least a first and a second piece of luggage part 4, 6. The first and the second piece of luggage parts 4, 6 are pivotable relative to each other, so that the piece of luggage body 2 can be opened and closed. The first and the second piece of luggage parts 4, 6 are preferably pivotable relative to each other by means of hinges not shown.
The first luggage piece further has at least one handle 22 connected to the second luggage piece part 6. The first luggage piece has at least a first and a second frame element 28, 31, wherein the first frame element 28 is arranged at an edge 27 of the first luggage piece part 4, and the second frame element 31 is arranged at an edge 29 of the second luggage piece part 6. The first luggage piece can preferably have wheels 18, so that the first luggage piece isrollable over a floor. Furthermore, the first luggage piece can also have a telescopic handle 20.
Luggage item 1 has two main sides 11, two longitudinal sides 10, a top side 13, and a bottom side 12.
In Fig. 2, the second luggage piece part 6 is shown in the open state. In particular, a first inner side 48 is visible. This inner side 48 corresponds to the first outer side 10, on which the handle 22 is arranged. The outer side 10 can, as shown in the illustrated embodiment, be the longitudinal side 10. The handle 22 is connected to the second luggage piece part 6.
On the second piece of luggage part 6, at least one hook element 30 is arranged. In the present embodiment, even two hook elements 30 are shown. From FIG. 2, it can also be seen that the recesses 24 for the locks 12 are arranged on the outer side 10, where the handle 22 is also located. The at least one hook element 30 can preferably be connected to the handle 22. In the illustrated embodiment, the hook element 30 is screwed to the handle.
The second frame element 31 may further comprise at least a second recess 50 in which a part of the hook element 30 is arranged and connected to the second frame element 31. By arranging the hook element 30 in the second recess 50, the stability of the connection between the hook element 30 and the second frame element 31 can be increased.
In Fig. 3, the hook element 30 is shown with the first and second frame elements 28, 31 and the first and second luggage part 4, 6. A state is illustrated in which the luggage is not lifted or loaded. The first frame element 28 has a first recess 32. The hook element 30 arranged on the second luggage part 6 extends over the first frame element 31 in the closed state of the luggage body 2.
In a condition where the luggage piece 1 is not lifted, the hook element 30 does not engage with the first recess 32. This is shown in Fig. 3. Thus, the luggage piece 1 can be easily opened in this condition. The state of opening is illustrated in Fig. 4. Furthermore, Fig. 3 shows that the first and second frame elements 28, 31 interlock at least partially in the closed position. For example, the projection 36 of the second frame element 31 engages with a recess 38 of the first frame element 28. A sealing element can also be provided in the recess 40. This is not shown in the illustrated embodiment.
From Fig. 5 it can be seen that the hook element 30 engages in the first recess 32 in a state where the luggage piece is loaded and lifted by the handle 22. In this way, a gap between the first and second luggage part 4, 6 is prevented. Fig. 5 shows that due to the loaded suitcase, a force 46 acts on the first luggage part 4 in the lifted state, whereas a force 44 acts on the second luggage part 6 via the handle. As a result, the projection 48 of the hook element 30 is introduced into the first recess 32.
The fastening element 30 can be connected to the second frame element 31, in particular screwed and/or glued. The first and the second frame elements 28, 31 can each be glued, screwed and/or riveted to the first and the second luggage part 4, 6. The first and/or the second frame element 28, 31 can be made of metal.
