Description

Fastening device for furniture parts
The invention relates to a fastening device for furniture parts. For example, it is known to fasten a front panel (frontbolde) to a drawer by inserting the front panel into a double-walled drawer frame or into a receptacle arranged on or in the drawer frame with a bracket, wherein the locking takes place by means of a spring-loaded lever. Of course, the latch should be so strong that the connection between the drawer and the front panel remains unchanged during normal withdrawal of the drawer. On the other hand, it is desirable to create the possibility of easily removing the panel again, either because the panel is damaged or needs to be cleaned, or the panel should be changed to another color. The same problem exists with respect to the connection between other furniture parts.
In order to provide a secure but easily detachable connection in a fastening device for furniture parts, the fastening device has a two-armed lever mounted on one furniture part so as to be pivotable about an axis of rotation, the front lever arm of which is designed to engage in a holder of the other furniture part, which holder is composed of a transverse plate mounted on spaced apart segments, to be substantially hook-shaped and has a front slide-in ramp: () The spring-loaded lever for insertion into the holder is mounted so as to be displaceable in a limited manner in the longitudinal direction, and the front lever arm has an additional recess for the end mounting on a fixed transverse shaft.
When the support is moved toward the lever, its transverse plate slides against the slide-in ramp of the front lever arm and pivots the front lever arm upward, wherein the lever is simultaneously moved in the support advancing direction. The transverse plate then slides behind the slide-in ramp into the hook of the front lever arm, which then rotates back into its initial position toward the bearing point on the transverse shaft, whereupon the lever is moved forward again by the spring. The lever is supported on the transverse shaft, so that the lever is self-locked relative to the opening movement, and firm connection is guaranteed. In order to release the components, the front lever arm is raised again against the spring force by pressing on the rear lever arm, and the bracket and the furniture component connected thereto can be removed. This results in a firm connection on the one hand and the possibility of easily releasing it on the other hand.
For a limited possibility of longitudinal displacement of the lever, the lever is supported on its pivot axis by a slot. The dimensions of the slot are preferably selected such that the pivot axis abuts against the rear end of the slot when the recess on the lever arm in the front part is supported on the transverse axis and against the front end of the slot when the support is inserted, wherein the transverse axis can be used doubly, i.e. on the one hand to support the lever arm and on the other hand as an auxiliary guide for the support. According to another feature of the invention, the spring, which is embodied as a compression spring, is arranged on a projection extending approximately perpendicularly to the rear lever arm. The rear lever arm is preferably accessible through a hole in the top surface in order to be able to release the other furniture part as desired.
The front lever arm, adjacent to its recess for the transverse axis, preferably has a substantially right-angled, downwardly inclined flange with a slide-in ramp for the support, on which flange the hook-shaped recess for the support adjoins. The arrangement of the parts is expediently designed such that the front lever arm pivots upward when the support is inserted and the slot is pressed back against the pivot. The distance between the axis of rotation and the transverse axis is here greater than the distance between the recess and the transverse axis. In this case, in the latched position of the support, a line of action is produced between the bearing point of the front lever arm on the support and the transverse axis, which causes a torque in the closing direction, so that the lever is self-locking and is prevented from being unintentionally released.
The drawings show an embodiment of the invention in which a panel is secured to a drawer. The attached drawings show that:
figure 1 a double-walled side drawer frame with a not shown bracket of the front panel arranged in front of it in a cross-sectional view before assembly,
figure 2 is a view according to figure 1 with the bracket attached,
figure 3 is a view according to figure 1 in an intermediate position,
fig. 4 shows a view of the holder according to fig. 1 with the band securely inserted.
The support 1 has a fastening element 2 for a front panel, not shown, to which a spacer element 3 with a transverse plate 4 is connected.
A double-armed lever 6 which can be pivoted about a pivot axis 7 is mounted in a lateral drawer frame 5 of a drawer, not shown. The lever 6 is provided with a slot 8 for the pivot 7, so that the lever is mounted in a limited manner. The rear lever arm 9 has a projection 10 which runs approximately perpendicular to the rear lever arm and serves to support a compression spring 11. The front lever arm 12 is provided with a hook-shaped recess 13 and a further recess 14, with which recess 14 the front lever arm rests on a transverse axis 15 in the rest position shown in fig. 1. Adjoining this recess 14 is a substantially right-angled, downwardly inclined flange 16 which has a slide-in ramp 17 for the transverse plate 4 of the bracket 1.
Furthermore, the rear lever arm 9 is provided with a button 19 which passes upwards through the lateral drawer frame 5, so that it can be pivoted against the pressure of the spring 11 in order to release the stand 1 as desired. Two adjusting screws 20 are used to adjust the lateral position and the height position of the panel in a manner not shown in detail.
To insert the holder 1, the holder 1 is pushed into the lateral drawer frame 5 toward the lever 6. The bottom edge 21, the transverse axis 15 and the second transverse axis 22 of the lateral drawer frame 5 are used for guidance. As shown in fig. 2, the transverse plate 4 abuts against the slide-in ramp 17 and pivots the lever 6 clockwise upward and simultaneously pushes the lever 6 backwards until the pivot 7 comes to rest in the elongated hole 8. Here the distance L2 is greater than L1. After passing over the slide-in ramp 17, the transverse plate 4 slides into the hook-shaped recess 13 as shown in fig. 3, so that the lever 6 is pivoted back again by the spring force 11 and the rotary shaft 7 moves forward in the elongated hole 8.
In the end position according to fig. 4, the lever 6 again assumes its initial position. The holder 1 is now locked in the lateral drawer frame 5, which then creates a self-locking, preventing an opening movement by pulling on the not shown panel and the holder 1. The opening force F1 of the bracket 1 causes a reaction force F2 extending through the transverse axis 15. The line of action direction of F2 now causes a torque which moves the lever 6 in the closing direction, resulting in self-locking. In order to pull the stand 1 out as desired, the push button 19 of the rear lever arm 9 is simply pushed down through the hole 18 against the force of the spring 11. Thereby releasing the cross plate 4 and allowing the holder 1 to be removed.
