Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a body for a buggy, carrycot or the like.
Background
Today, the manufacture of the body of a buggy or the like is performed by manufacturing a container, usually made by injection of plastic material, where the parts to compose the internal components, the bottom and the details to form the interior of the body are attached, and this is an expensive manufacturing process to obtain the parts separately and to perform the operations for attaching the internal parts inside the container.
Disclosure of Invention
One object of the present invention is a very simple method for manufacturing the body of a buggy or the like, to obtain a body which has a reduced weight and is integral, and which does not require additional components, since all the necessary items are integrated in the part constituting the body.
The manufacturing method comprises three stages, during which a first container of light weight is manufactured, corresponding to the inside of the body; during a second stage, making a second container of durability corresponding to the exterior of the body; and during a third phase, attaching the first container to the second container and circumferentially joining the first container with the second container by the edge of its mouth.
The first container may be manufactured by extruding a foam material such as "foam plastic (porexpan"), and the second container is manufactured by injecting a resin such as polycarbonate together with glass fiber.
The attachment between the first and second containers may be achieved by various methods such as gluing, welding, screwing or by inserting one of the containers into the mold of the other container during the manufacture of the other container.
The body of the buggy thus manufactured has optimum damping properties due to energy absorption upon impact, great durability due to the positive-displacement manufacture, and it is compact and very robust.
These and other features will be further understood from the detailed description provided below, and are accompanied by a page of drawings, which show practical embodiments provided merely as non-limiting examples of the scope of the invention, for ease of understanding.
Drawings
FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a first container corresponding to the interior of the body of the stroller;
FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of a second container corresponding to the exterior of the body of the stroller; and
fig. 3 shows a perspective view of the body of the buggy obtained with the method which is the object of the invention.
Detailed Description
According to the figures, the method for manufacturing the body of a buggy, carrycot or the like comprises manufacturing a first container 1 obtained by extruding a foam material such as "foam" and which will form the inside of the body 2 of the buggy.
In this method, the manufacture of a second container 3 is carried out, said container 3 being obtained by injecting a resin, such as polycarbonate, together with glass fibres, and this second container will form the outside of the body 2 of the buggy.
The manufacturing process is continued and the first container 1 is then attached to the second container 3 and joined circumferentially by means of the edges 4 and 5 of the mouth of the containers (fig. 3) by any suitable means, such as gluing, welding or screwing, or also by inserting one of the containers into the mould of the other container during its manufacture. For this coupling, the edge 4 of the mouth of the first container 1 has, in its profile, a flange 4 ', which flange 4' is to be applied to the edge 5 of the mouth of the second container 3.
Two containers, which are often very similar in appearance, have associated structural and design details, such as: an aperture O in the backrest region for passing a child-holding strap; a lower support member A; and a side hole E for passing through a harness to secure the stroller to a car seat.
The resulting buggy body is also provided with conventional accessories in its entirety, such as applying headrests, upholstery and adding handles for moving it, and the body is to be provided with the necessary hand means for coupling it to a platform provided with international organization for standardization anchor (isofix) means for fixing the buggy to the car seat.
The invention may be embodied in other embodiments within its essential characteristics, which differ only in detail from the embodiments presented as examples, and which are equally protected. The method can thus be applied to the manufacture of bodies for prams, carrycots and the like, with the most appropriate means and materials and with the most convenient accessories, as all of these are included within the scope of the claims.
