Description

Wig with wave-shaped weaving band
Technical Field
The invention relates to a hair piece for connection to basic hair, which hair piece comprises at least one thin, wide bundle of hair consisting of a plurality of hairs oriented in parallel, and a weaving band of hair or other suitable material, such as cotton or synthetic material, which weaving band is interconnected with the outer ends of the bundle of hair.
Background
Such hairpieces are known from the applicant's dutch patent No. 1024734. Such a hair piece has a connection opening between two weaving bands of two hair bundles and can be reliably and quickly attached to the basic hair, while the weaving bands and the basic hair roll connected thereto are hardly visible, because after the attachment of the hair piece to the basic hair, the second hair bundle is folded over onto the first hair bundle, whereby the basic hair roll and the hair connection means are hidden from view.
Such a hair piece with a weaving band is known to have the following disadvantages in nature: forming a straight hairline; flat hair strands add only a small degree of volume to the hair and the integrity and intermingling of the hair in the strand with the base hair is not optimal. Furthermore, it is desirable to increase the amount of hair in the hair bundle. After the known hair piece has been attached to the basic hair near the split, the growth of the basic hair provided with the attached hair piece near the split is quickly visible. Furthermore, the weaving band of the known hair piece has a tendency to move away from the scalp, thereby reducing the natural integrity with the basic hair.
Disclosure of Invention
It is an object of the invention to provide a hair piece that can be easily, reliably and quickly connected to the basic hair, whereby the weaving band and the basic hair curl are hardly visible, and whereby the integrity and mixability of the basic hair and the hair piece is improved, which increases the volume of the basic hair and seems to have a softer hairline.
According to the invention, a hairpiece for connection with basic hair comprises the following elements:
the weaving band has a zigzag, staggered continuous undulation due to the inclusion of peaks and valleys,
the braid is further provided with a support element for maintaining the waved shape of the braid.
By providing the weaving band with a zigzag, staggered continuous wave shape, the hair bundle allows to increase the amount of hair and will give the basic hair a larger volume, and the hair connected to this weaving band will form a softer hairline at its free bottom end, which results in a more natural effect with respect to the hairline of a straight hairpiece.
In particular, the support element is selected from the following: a rigid or shape-retaining element; bridge elements arranged between the wave crests and/or the wave troughs of the wave-shaped braid. By providing the wavy braid with shape-retaining elements, the wavy shape is maintained and the wavy shape is better retained after the braid is attached into the basic hair. Alternatively, the wave shape can also be easily fixed and maintained by interconnecting peaks and/or valleys of the weaving band.
In a preferred embodiment, the plurality of bridge elements constitutes a substantially unitary second weaving band. In this embodiment, the wave-like shape of the weaving band is fixed by a construction which is simple and easy to manufacture, and furthermore another hair bundle is connected to the second weaving band.
Specifically, when used in basic hair, the wave crests of the wavy braid are inclined toward the basic hair. As a result, the fit or alignment between the weaving band and the basic hair is improved, so that the hair parting will be covered despite the growth of the basic hair.
Preferably, the bridge elements of the second weaving band are interconnected with the first weaving band near the wave troughs. By mounting the support element on the wave troughs of the wave-shaped weaving band, the wave crests are allowed to tilt towards the basic hair, whereby the integrity and mixing of the hair piece with the basic hair is improved and the hair parting will be covered longer during the growth of the basic hair.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention the hair piece has a second hair bundle, the outer end of which is connected to the third weaving band. As a result, a hairpiece is obtained having a larger volume, which gives an enhanced volume effect to the basic hair. Furthermore, the hair piece can be easily attached and folded while the above wave-shaped weaving band advantage remains intact.
Preferably, a connecting opening is provided between the third weaving band and the first and/or second weaving band. In particular, the third weaving band and the first and/or second weaving band are laterally interconnected at their upper side (the side opposite the hair strand) at regular mutual distances by means of connecting elements. More specifically, the upper side of the third weaving band and the upper side of the first and/or second weaving band are positioned laterally adjacent butt against each other. By these features, the hair piece is easily attached by unfolding it before it is attached into the basic hair, and then easily folding it up. Furthermore, the hairpiece is better camouflaged or concealed in the basic hair.
In a particular embodiment the hair piece is provided with mounting means. By these means the hair piece can easily be attached to the basic hair and easily be removed when repositioning is required, e.g. due to growth of the basic hair.
Preferably, the mounting means are provided on a woven belt which is positioned over a mounting opening formed between the two connecting elements. Preferably, when the hair piece is attached to the basic hair by folding the first hair bundle with weaving band over the second hair bundle with weaving band, the mounting means will thereby be positioned in the vicinity of the (connecting) openings between the weaving bands, which prevents the hair piece from locally thickening at the location of the mounting means.
Alternatively, a hair piece according to the invention is obtained by connecting the connecting element to the first weaving band or the second weaving band near the valleys of the first wave shaped weaving band. As a result the mounting means is hidden under the first weaving band and/or the second weaving band of the hair piece.
In particular, the mounting means is selected from the following: hair clip, hairpin, hair clamp, bonding member.
In an alternative embodiment the first weaving band and/or the second weaving band and/or the third weaving band, which are spaced at regular mutual distances, are provided with a dividing area like a stitched seam or a knotting element, so that the hair piece can be narrowed or divided in the dividing area, so that the hair pieces obtained after division will not break or will not be unusable or will not become unusable. Preferably the hair piece can be narrowed by cutting the weaving band in the dividing area between these (stitched seam) elements, so that the obtained hair piece (part) will not be broken or comprise unwanted open hanging parts.
Preferably, the dividing region is located near a trough of the first weaving band. By these measures the two hair pieces have a clean and tidy appearance, while the wave crests of the wave-shaped weaving band are not loosened when hanging.
The invention also relates to a hairpiece for connection to basic hair, comprising:
-two thin, wide hair strands consisting of a plurality of hairs oriented in parallel;
two braids made of hair or other suitable material, such as cotton or synthetic material, which are interconnected with the outer ends of the hair strands,
the weaving bands are thereby connected to one another on their upper side (in other words, the side opposite the hair strand) by means of connecting elements arranged transversely at regular intervals, such that connecting openings are arranged between the weaving bands,
and whereby the weaving band has mounting means between the two connecting elements forming the connecting opening.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows how a hairpiece 1 according to the invention is attached to the basic hair 11 of a person's hair (hairstyle) in order to supplement or fill the basic hair with a bundle of hair 10 and to provide more hair volume and a plump hairstyle. The hairpiece 1 has a bundle of hair 10, and the bundle of hair 10 comprises a plurality of hair 20 oriented in parallel. The weaving band 2 is preferably made or woven from a flexible thread material, such as cotton or synthetic yarn. The hair bundle 10 is connected with the weaving band 2, for example by means of weaving elements 17 (see fig. 2) to which the hair is knotted or attached. This weaving band 2 has a zigzag, staggered continuous wave-shape due to its inclusion of peaks 4 and valleys 5. The hair piece 10 in fig. 1 has an optional second weaving band 3, which weaving band 3 is connected to the wave troughs 5 of the first weaving band 2. The hair piece is attached to the basic hair 11 by first lifting a lock of hair 13 so that the hair split 16 becomes visible. The hair piece 1 is then attached to the basic hair in such a way that the wave crests 4 are positioned in the vicinity of the hair parting 16 or even on the hair parting 16. After attachment to the basic hair 11 the strand of basic hair 13 is repositioned on the hair piece 1 so that the upper side of the hair piece with the weaving bands 2, 3 is not visible. The hairs 20 constitute wavy hairlines resulting from their connection to the wavy weaving band, achieving an improved natural mixing with the basic hair 11. With respect to the known essentially straight hairline disclosed in NL102473, which is produced from a straight weaving band comprising equal lengths of hair 20, the bottom side of the hair bundle 10 attached to the weaving band will constitute a natural wave-shaped hairline, which will be integral and intermingled with the outer ends of the basic hair.
Figure 2 shows in more detail how the wave braid 2 is constructed. In order to maintain and maintain the wave shape of the first weaving band 2, a support element is provided. In this embodiment both the crests 4 and the troughs 5 are provided with support elements 12. In an alternative embodiment the weaving band obtains and retains its zigzag shape by providing a stiff or shape-retaining element inside or under the weaving elements 17 of the weaving band 2. An important aspect of the invention is that the weaving band and the hair bundle 20 connected to the weaving band comprise a zigzag, staggered continuous wave shape, which results in a softer hairline allowing more hair to be included in the hair piece, so that the hair piece is more voluminous. It is clear that other alternative methods may be used within the scope of the present invention in order to provide the hair piece 10 with an upper side having a wave shape. Therefore, all technical equivalents known to the person skilled in the art are also considered to be part of the inventive concept.
Fig. 3 shows an alternative embodiment of a hairpiece 1 according to the invention. The hair piece has a first hair bundle 10, which hair bundle 10 comprises a wave-shaped weaving band 2, a second weaving band 3 and hair 20 connected to these weaving bands. Furthermore, the hair piece 1 is provided with a second bundle of hair 21, which bundle of hair 21 comprises a third weaving band 7 to which the hair 20 is connected. The first hair bundle 10 and the second hair bundle 21 are connected to each other by means of a connecting element 6, preferably in such a way that the third weaving band 7 is positioned in a transversely abutting position with the adjacent upper side of the first weaving band 2 and/or the second weaving band 3. Preferably, these connecting elements 6 are connecting cords positioned at regular mutual distances between the weaving bands of both hair strands 10, 21. As a result, the (connecting) opening 9 is arranged between the weaving bands of the two hair bundles. These connection openings 9 can be used to guide the base hair curls through (to be interconnected) in order to attach the hair piece into the base hair. Alternatively, the base hair roll guided through can be connected to the weaving band and/or the hair bundle 10. It is also possible to guide the basic hair curls through the opening 9 in order to improve the mixing between the hair piece 1 and the basic hair, but without interconnecting these curls with the hair piece. When the hair piece is fixedly connected to the basic hair, the second hair bundle 21 can be folded over the first hair bundle 10, so that the weaving band of the first hair bundle 10 and the optionally connected basic hair roll are hidden from view. Preferably, the outer side (positioned on the side of the weaving bands 3, 7 opposite the head) has hairs 20 when in use in the closed position, in other words when worn in the basic hairs, so that the weaving bands are hidden. In the embodiment of the hair piece of fig. 3 the weaving band is provided with mounting means 8.
Fig. 3 shows the mounting means 8 positioned on the second weaving band 3, but the mounting means may be mounted elsewhere in the hair piece 1, if desired. In the preferred embodiment of fig. 3, the mounting means 8 are repeatedly arranged on the second weaving band 3 between two connecting elements 6 by positioning the upper side of the mounting means 8 at the same level as the upper side of the second weaving band 3. When the mounting means 8 is attached in this way, the (connection) opening 9 between the two strands of hair 10, 21 will be positioned in the vicinity of the mounting means 8 (the hair piece is in a folded-in use position), so that the tendency of the hair piece to thicken at the location of the mounting means is reduced or prevented completely. As a result, the wearing comfort of the user is enhanced and the wig will be more easily hidden. It is also possible to manufacture a hair piece 10 in fig. 3 without the first wave-shaped weaving band 2. In fig. 3 the mounting means 8 is a hair clip, but any other well known mounting means such as a hair pin, hair pin of an attachment member may be used.
Fig. 4 shows in detail a preferred embodiment of the weaving band of the hair piece according to the invention, whereby the first and/or second and/or third weaving band 2, 3, 7 at regular intervals are provided with dividing areas 14, for example configured by stitched seams or knotting elements 15, so that the hair piece can easily be narrowed and produced suitable for the hair (hairstyle) to which the hair piece has to be attached. By cutting the weaving band in the dividing areas 14 between the stitched seams 15, the new outer ends in the dividing areas 14 will not break, hang open or have an otherwise unsightly appearance. Preferably, the dividing area 14 is arranged in the third weaving band 3 close to the valleys 5 of the first weaving band 2, so that after cutting the adjacent loops, the peaks 4 of the wavy weaving band 2 will not loosen when hanging. The first weaving band 2 may also have stitched seams with dividing regions formed between them, if desired. When the hair piece has a second hair bundle connected to the third weaving band 7, the connecting element 6 is preferably positioned on the second weaving band in the vicinity of the stitched seam of the dividing area 14 so that the outer end of the hair piece remains connected to the first and/or second weaving band 2, 3 as a result of the third weaving band 7 being cut open.
Other equivalent measures known to the person skilled in the art for configuring a hair piece with a wave shaped weaving band are to be considered within the scope of the invention described herein.
