Description

Sealing device for tunnel sections
The invention relates to a sealing device, comprising: two adjoining structural parts made of concrete, steel, reinforced concrete, cast iron or resin and a sealing profile made of an elastomer material (i.e. rubber or rubber-like material) which sealingly bridges a gap between the two structural parts; wherein the structural elements form two pipe sections of a tubular tunnel and are formed with transverse and longitudinal expansion joints, wherein each pipe section is provided with at least one annular groove which comprises the entire pipe section joint face, and on the other hand, in each groove there is a strip-shaped extending sealing profile which is provided with strip-shaped extending open and/or closed grooves arranged on the profile bottom side and is also provided with strip-shaped extending channels arranged between the grooves and the profile top side. Since the pipe sections usually have four joint surfaces, the sealing frame consists of four sealing profiles, wherein the frame corners are preferably produced by injection molding.
A sealing device of the above-mentioned type is known, for example, from US-A-4946309. Because the adjacent structural members or pipe sections are pressed together when the gap or the gap between the transverse and longitudinal expansion joints is reduced, the sealing profile made of elastomer material exerts its sealing effect under the alternating action of the action force and the reaction force. Such compression seals have proven practical in many tunneling projects.
Based on the prior art, the invention aims to provide the following technical scheme: the grooves and channels are arranged such that the pressure-stroke characteristics of the parallel base surfaces are ensured in order to achieve a durable seal.
The purpose of the invention is realized as follows: a seal assembly, comprising:
two adjoining structural parts made of concrete, steel, reinforced concrete, cast iron or resin, and a sealing profile made of an elastomer material, which sealingly bridges a gap between the two structural parts;
the structural elements here form two pipe sections of a tubular tunnel and are formed with transverse and longitudinal expansion joints, where each pipe section is provided on its joint face with at least one annular groove which encompasses the entire pipe section joint face, and on the other hand in each groove there is a strip-like, running sealing profile which forms a sealing frame with frame corners, where the sealing profile is provided with strip-like, running open and/or closed grooves which are arranged on the bottom side of the profile and is also provided with strip-like, running channels which are arranged between the grooves and the top side of the profile,
wherein:
the sealing profile is provided with at least two sets of channels, one set of channels lying immediately above the groove and the other set of channels being arranged eccentrically to the sides of the groove, whereby the two sets of channels are located essentially in a plane parallel to the bottom side or top side of the profile.
According to a suitable design of the sealing device according to the invention, the two sets of channels have different cross-sectional shapes.
According to a suitable design of the sealing device according to the invention, the cross-section of the two sets of channels is substantially triangular, wherein the apex in one set of channels immediately above the groove is directed towards the top side of the profile, and the apex in the other set of channels, which are eccentrically arranged to the sides of the groove, is directed towards the bottom side of the profile.
In a preferred embodiment of the sealing device according to the invention, the base edges in the set of channels immediately above the groove run substantially parallel to the bottom side or top side of the profile, while the base edges in the other set of channels arranged eccentrically to the side edges of the groove run in an arched manner.
In a suitable embodiment of the sealing device according to the invention, the number m of the channels of one group immediately above the groove is equal to the number of grooves, while the number n of the channels of the other group arranged eccentrically at the side of the groove satisfies the following formula:
n=m-1,
wherein m is equal to 2-6.
According to a suitable design of the sealing device according to the invention, said groove has a substantially trapezoidal cross-section.
In a preferred embodiment of the sealing device according to the invention, the outer wall of the sealing profile has a greater thickness than the thickness of the partition between the two sets of channels.
In a preferred embodiment of the sealing device according to the invention, the outer wall of the sealing profile has a greater thickness than the thickness of the partition between the groove and the two sets of channels.
In a suitable design of the sealing device according to the invention, the partition between the two sets of channels and the partition between the groove and the two sets of channels have approximately the same thickness.
All structural features of the sealing profiles mentioned in this description are directed to the unloaded state.
The invention will now be elucidated with reference to an embodiment and with reference to a schematic drawing. Wherein:
fig. 1 shows a sealing arrangement comprising two adjoining tunnel sections and a sealing profile which is placed in a groove;
FIG. 2 shows a seal profile with four grooves;
FIG. 3 shows a seal profile with two grooves;
figure 4 shows a seal profile with six grooves.
The following list of relevant symbols is given in relation to these figures:

Fig. 1 shows a sealing arrangement comprising two pipe sections 2, 2'. Between the two pipe sections there is a gap 3, which must be sealingly bridged by a sealing profile 5. In this case, a sealing profile, specifically a profile with A, B two sets of channels according to the invention, is placed in each groove 4.
According to fig. 2, the sealing profile has four open channels 6 with a substantially trapezoidal cross section.
Furthermore, the sealing profile 5 is provided with a total of seven channels 7, 8, which lie substantially in one plane X and are formed with the following two sets of channels A, B (fig. 1):
group A: the group of four channels 7 is located immediately above the groove 6. The cross-sectional shape of these channels is substantially triangular, with its apex 11 facing the profile top side 10 and its base 12 being substantially parallel to the profile bottom side 9 or profile top side 10.
Group B: the set of three channels 8 is arranged eccentrically to the side of the groove 6. Here, too, the cross-sectional shape of the channel is designed substantially triangular, although its apex 13 points here to the profile bottom side 9. The bottom edge 14 of the channel 8 has an arched course.
Other structural features of the sealing profile 5 are:
the outer wall thickness 15 is greater than the thickness of the partitions 16, 17 between the channels 7, 8.
The outer wall thickness 15 is greater than the thickness of the partition 18 between the groove 6 and the channels 7, 8.
The partitions 16, 17 between the channels 7, 8 and the partitions 18 between the groove 6 and the channels 7, 8 have substantially equal thicknesses.
The seal profile 5', 5 "shown in fig. 3 or 4 exhibits the same construction principle as the seal profile 5 shown in fig. 1 and 2. Specifically, the sealing profiles 5 ', 5 "exhibit the same structural principle as the sealing profile 5 shown in fig. 1, 2, with a reduction in the number of grooves 6' to two (fig. 3) and an increase in the number of grooves 6" to six (fig. 4).
