A lottery selector and display device for selection and display of balls bearing indicia includes a main chamber 14 having disposed therein for mixing by agitation a plurality of balls, a sub-chamber 16 substantially smaller in volume than main chamber 14 for receiving from the main chamber balls so as to dissipate their kinetic energy, and a transparent identification chute 18 to receive and display in alignment the predetermined number of balls. Agitation means are provided to the main chamber to mix the balls and impel them towards the sub-chamber. The agitation means may be a paddle or an air source.
