Description

Fixing device for forming an anchor in a plate, in particular made of glass
Technical Field
The invention relates to a fixing device for forming an anchor. The fastening device has a plate, in particular made of glass, with an undercut borehole, a curable material and an anchor bolt with a fastening device and an anchoring section with a cross-sectional widening in the insertion direction.
Background
DE 4334286C 2 discloses a fixing element, in particular for fixing glass panes. The anchoring element is composed of an anchor bolt and an expansion element, wherein the expansion element can be anchored in a borehole with an undercut by being pulled into and/or pushed over an expansion cone of the anchor bolt. A pressure element made of soft plastic is arranged between the expansion element and the wall of the borehole to be drilled. This allows the retention force not to cause excessive point loads in the bore, which would not be precluded if the metal were allowed to come into direct contact with the glass.
Document US 5787662 shows a component for glass decoration of buildings with a glass stack consisting of laminated safety glass using a fixing element. The fixing element has a lower and an upper support pad with a neoprene ring on which the laminated glass is placed. The glass plate has a through-hole through which a bolt with a surrounding sleeve passes. The annular gap between the glass and the surrounding sleeve is filled with a flowable, curable plastic.
The problem with this anchoring is that it is less flexible. Especially when suspended and due to thermally induced length changes in the installed state, considerable transverse forces and bending moments occur if they are not counteracted by elaborate measures, as in the region of the supporting structure.
Disclosure of Invention
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a fixing device, in particular for fixing glass panes, which has an increased elasticity.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by a fixing device for forming an anchor. The fastening device has a plate with an undercut bore, a curable material and an anchor bolt with a fastening device and an anchoring section with a cross-sectional widening in the insertion direction. According to the invention, the anchor bolt is completely surrounded by a casing made of elastic plastic in the region of the anchoring section and is anchored with the curable material, and the anchor bolt is anchored such that it can be tilted relative to the plate.
The fixing device according to the invention is anchored not by means of an expanding structure but by means of a hardenable material, such as epoxy, polyester or plaster. The anchor bolt is surrounded in the region of the anchoring section by a casing made of elastic plastic. This results in the fixing element being elastic in all directions, as a result of which the anchor bolt can be tilted relative to the plate. This also allows the anchor bolt to be kept out of contact with the borehole wall at any point. Without the cover, such contact could occur, for example, because the anchor is not in a centered position or the anchor hits the bottom of the borehole during hardening of the material. This contact causes the point load, while the elastic cover ensures a surface distribution of the load.
In addition to the design of the anchor bolt, the geometry of the borehole in particular is important for fixing the achievable retention values. In order to form a stable connection of a curable material in the borehole, a positive connection is required in addition to the adhesive effect. In glass boreholes, which are typically drilled with diamond drills, no undercuts suitable for this are produced in cylindrical boreholes due to the extremely smooth surface. The undercut must therefore be produced in particular by turning a drilling machine or the like outwards. But these undercuts may also have the form of irregular grooves, circumferential grooves or any type of roughness, without leaving the idea of the invention.
The elasticity of the fastening device is controlled on the one hand by the thickness of the plastic used and on the other hand by the modulus of elasticity of this plastic. The wider the housing, the greater the displacement that can be compensated for, as caused by thermal expansion. Preferably, however, the thickness of the sheath is selected such that the smallest outer diameter of the sheath is smaller than the largest diameter of the anchor segments of the anchor bolt. This prevents the anchor bolt from being pulled out of the borehole by the net shearing action of the outer envelope along a cylindrical surface.
It is suitable for the outer envelope to have silicone as its constituent part, since silicone has proven to be suitable for this purpose as a material with high resistance and lasting elasticity.
Drawings
The invention will be described in detail below with the aid of embodiments shown in the drawings. The figure shows in cross-section a fixing device 1 according to the invention for fixing a glass pane 2.
Detailed Description
The fastening unit has an anchor bolt 3 with an external thread 4 as fastening means and an anchoring section 5, the anchoring section 5 having a portion 6 which widens with a conical cross section in the insertion direction. The connection to the support means (not shown) can be realized on the external thread 4, for example, by means of a nut, a washer or the like. The anchor section 5 has a silicone-containing casing 7 which is surrounded by a hardening material 8. The bore hole 9 has a conical undercut 10 which prevents the hardened material 8 from being pulled out of the bore hole 9 by separation from the bore hole wall 11. The thickness of the cover 7 is selected such that the cross-sectionally widened portion 6 of the anchoring portion 5 forms an undercut in the hardened material 8 independently of the cover. In this way, the anchor bolt 3 is not pulled out of the hardened material 8 even if the cover 7 is completely removed. But elastic displacements in all directions of about twice the thickness of the cover and inclinations of about 10 degrees are still possible.
For anchoring with the fixing device 1, the material 8 is inserted after the undercut borehole 9 has been produced. Before the material hardens, the anchor bolt 3 is inserted into the borehole 9. In this way, the material 8 is displaced and distributed around the anchor bolt 3. A centered positioning is not necessary here. However, if this is desirable because of the exact connection to the bearing means, the housing 7 can additionally have, at its end facing away from the anchoring section 5, a ring, a rib or the like (not shown) for centering and/or axial stop on the bore hole 9.
