Description

Method for fixing a plurality of textile layers in a line, in particular along the edges of a textile, and product produced thereby
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a method of securing a plurality of textile layers along a straight line, in particular along the edges of a textile, in particular but not exclusively an undergarment, and in particular an article with edges requiring tying (tying), such as a pants or a brassiere.
Background
It is known how to tie a knot on the open edge of an undergarment article, in other words, to cover the edge by overlapping it with a textile band folded in two, the band being generally sewn into place.
The aim is now to avoid the use of sewn seams in underwear, increasingly, because the seams are sometimes uncomfortable and also for aesthetic reasons.
It has been proposed to fix textile layers edgewise by means of ultrasound using thermoplastic fibres (see WO 0228210) or thermal bonding (see EP 1033084), or by a combined method of sewing and thermal bonding (see US 2048343). With the first two methods, there is a problem with accurate positioning of the belt and the disadvantage that the belt has a visible seam; plain needle thread (e.g., cotton) is used as a seam with a thermal bonding base (e.g., made of cellulose acetate). The upper thread remains in place and is visible after the heat-fusing operation.
Disclosure of Invention
It is an object of the present invention to enable assembly of textile components along straight lines, particularly along edges where no seam is visible, particularly to make seamless ties that are satisfactorily secured to the edges of the article.
The object of the invention is achieved by a method for fixing a plurality of textile layers along a straight line, in particular along the edges of an article, using two stitch lines, i.e. an upper line and a lower line, one of which changes state at a first predetermined temperature, and in which method means are provided for thermally bonding the layers at a second predetermined temperature, characterized in that the state-changed stitch lines melt at a first temperature which is lower than said second temperature, and the other stitch line disappears after the state-changed stitch lines have melted.
The removal of the second thread is easily accomplished, and may even be done manually if necessary, so that the binding between the first and second thread disappears as the first thread melts as the temperature increases beyond the melting temperature to the thermobonding temperature. Thus, in the case of a simple sleeve, the remaining thread is no longer bonded to the article and can be removed by simply pulling it apart manually.
Advantageously, the seaming is performed using a machine with a face yarn and a bobbin thread, the bobbin thread being made of a hot melt material.
Advantageously, when the edges constitute the assembly profile, the different layers to be assembled comprise a base textile layer and at least one layer of turned edge tape (borderstrip). This may be a strip attached to only one side of the edge, or may be two strips attached to each side. Preferably, the tape overlaps the edge of the main article (main article) to make the tie.
The textile product according to the invention is any kind of woven or non-woven material made of natural or synthetic fibres and, where applicable, also plastic sheets used in the textile industry for making all or some basic articles or for making all or some decorative borders or tie strips. In particular, the belt and the basic article can be made of the same textile material.
The method according to the invention is particularly useful when the basic article is made of a light and fragile material, such as a material for underwear. In particular, the articles of interest may be brassieres, briefs, underpants, and strings worn therein. For the bra, ties are made on the cups (under the neckline and under the arms) and on the back (upper and bottom of the back) of the bra; for pants and strings, ties are made at the wrist and thigh openings.
The thermobonding means according to the invention can be of any type, but advantageously comprise a film of thermobonding material placed between the layers to be assembled. The film may be secured by applying an adhesive. In a particularly advantageous manner, the film is perforated during manufacture, so that the thermal bonding between the layers is not continuous over the entire surface of the later adhesive-bonded textile layer, but instead forms a deformable network which is compatible with the elastic elongation of the material and the tapes.
Detailed Description
We will now describe specific embodiments of such a system.
Advantageously, the basic material of the article and of the tie strip is made of an elastic flat-knit fabric, wherein the tying is carried out on the article, which fabric is composed of 81% of a microfibrous polyamide and 19% of, for example, LycraThe synthetic spandex (elasthane) of (1) at a basis weight of 190g/m2And 30N by 170% in the machine direction and 110% in the width direction.
For example, the hot melt adhesive may be a polyurethane adhesive applied in the form of a perforated film having a thickness of about 50 μm, which is perforated during calendering to produce an elastic and breathable film. The film is coated with a non-renewable polyurethane glue on the main material to be used as a strip. This therefore provides a strip made of a composite consisting of material-glue coat-glue film. The strip is cut into tapes having a width equal to twice the width of the knot to be made on the article.
The tape is sewn using a zigzag lock stitch machine (zigzag lock stitch) equipped with a tie guide to overlap the edges of the product. The hot-melt wire is located on the spool without the wire being inserted into the needle. The hot-melt thread is a copolyamide thread with a 55 dtex number, which starts to melt at 90 ℃. The thread in the needle is polyester resistant to a temperature of at least 180 ℃.
The assembly is thermally bonded using a disc or cylinder thermal bonder. During bonding, the article is held together by the silicone coated sheet to prevent formation of crimps. The thermal bonding is carried out at a temperature of 180 ℃ and a pressure of about 3 bar.
The 180 c temperature is greater than the melting temperature of the hot-melt thread but less than the melting temperature of the thread placed in the needle, so that the tying of the seam is lost.
The polyester clip wire was then removed.
The resulting tie is perfectly placed and seamless. And the ties are consistent with the necessary elasticity of the edge.
