Description

Advertising method using transport truck or the like
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a method of advertising using a transport truck or the like, whereby advertising is made by mounting an advertising board on the body of the transport truck or on the side of a bus or the like and running these transport trucks or buses. More particularly, the present invention is directed to a method of advertising using a transport truck or the like, which is capable of advertising at an economical cost and facilitates the production of billboards carrying various types of information.
Background
As many companies have entered the logistics industry in recent years, transport trucks are seen everywhere ranging from long distances to local transport for transportation. Moreover, whether going to rural or urban areas, trucks operating on the scheduled route, depending on the transport operator, parked everywhere during consolidation of the goods, etc. must be seen. Thus, the surface of the canopy of the transport truck that has been seen on the street can be made to act as a large advertising space. Moreover, in cities with many high-rise buildings, the roof of the transport truck can also be seen from the high-rise building and can thus also be made to function as advertising space.
However, the canopy of a transport truck is typically printed with the company name or logo of the transport operator, or advertising information, so there is virtually no place to use as advertising space.
In the past, it has been proposed to mount billboards to the body of a delivery truck. However, this method has hardly been used in fact for the following reasons.
1. The printing cost of the advertising medium is very high.
2. The cost of the sign material is high due to excessive durability requirements.
3. The poor ability of the advertisement to represent makes it impossible to present an advertisement that attracts attention.
That is, when a cut sheet is used, a single-tone representation is generally used in accordance with a single-color character, mark, or the like. Moreover, the explanations performed by the sign writers are a particular skill, and at the same time they can draw a picture like a photograph, which is expensive. Moreover, with the spread of computers in recent years, advertisement images desired by advertisers have been mostly complex copies or photographic images using various colors. There are limitations that can be manually implemented using conventional signage writers when it comes to generating this kind of advertising.
4. Since the advertiser has to bear high production costs, he hesitates to utilize it even in short-term advertising that varies at an attractive rate.
5. The sign mounted to the truck canopy has to be designed to withstand the weather. Moreover, for the fixing bracket for mounting the label, acrylic plates such as expensive materials are used. Also, surface treatments such as lamination are used to protect paper, film or other surfaces of the tag. Thus, the label becomes very expensive.
6. When a canopy body depicting a transport truck or a cutting board is adhered thereto, it is not easy to return the body surface to its original state in cases such as when an advertiser changes. Moreover, the cost increases.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of these points, a main object of the present invention is to provide an advertising method using a transport truck or the like, which easily realizes a complicated and very low-cost advertising presentation.
To achieve the above object, a method of advertising using a transport truck or the like includes:
preparing label materials and advertisement information;
the signboard is produced by printing advertising information on the surface of a signboard material using a water-based ink or an oil-based ink or the like using an ink-jet printer,
removably mounting the advertising sign to a surface or roof of a transport truck, a body surface of a bus, a roof of a taxi, or the like; and
advertising by running the transport truck, bus, etc. with the aid of information carried by the advertising sign.
Here, when the surface of the label material is a hydrophobic surface, an image printed with a water-based ink using an ink-jet printer cannot be generally fixed. In such a case, a water-based ink image-receiving layer can be formed on the hydrophobic surface of the label material by coating a substrate treatment agent, and then directly printed on the material using an ink-jet printer.
Further, in order to improve the durability and weather resistance of the printed image, after printing has been performed using an ink-jet printer, it is desirable to apply a surface treatment agent to the surface of the label material to form a protective film that protects at least the printed image of the water-based ink from deterioration from ultraviolet rays and/or rain water.
As a material for the label, various types of materials can be used, such as paper, wood, metal, ceramic, cloth, synthetic resin, rubber, and leather.
Needless to say, the surface energy of the tag material is flat, irregular or perforated.
Secondly, in order to attach the sign to the canopy of the transport truck or the like in a state allowing the removal thereof, it is desirable to attach the advertising sign insertion and removal bracket to the surface of the transport truck canopy or the like, to which the advertising sign can be removably inserted in a direction parallel to the surface, and to removably attach the advertising sign to the surface of the transport truck canopy or the like using the advertising sign insertion and removal bracket.
Further, when the advertising sign is removably fixed to the surface of a transport truck canopy or the like using the fixing fittings, when printing using an ink-jet printer, it is also desirable to simultaneously print a mark indicating the fixing position using the fixing fittings on the surface of the sign material.
Moreover, in the case where the advertising placard is large, the advertising placard divided into a plurality of plates can be produced by printing on various placard materials and mounting the advertising placard in a line along the surface of the transport truck canopy or the like. The plurality of signs can of course be printed with various information and used as individual advertising signs.
Next, a method can be adopted in which a control device provided near a personal computer is used to control a scanner so as to read in an image or other such information which is then printed on the surface of the advertising placard material by using an ink-jet printer under the control of the control device. By using image processing software or the like installed in a personal computer, print information can be generated and printed out without using a scanner.
In the advertising method of the present invention, the advertising placard is produced by printing desired advertising information on the surface of the advertising placard material using an ink-jet printer. This makes it unnecessary to incur an initial cost for an item such as a platen fee, which was a basic item in the prior art. Also, by using a substrate treating agent, a surface treating agent, and the like, it is possible to produce an advertising board using low-cost resources or recycled materials such as cardboard.
Drawings
Fig. 1 is a view for explaining an example of an advertising method using a delivery truck to which the present invention is applied.
Detailed Description
An embodiment of an advertising method using a transport truck in which the present invention is applied is described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 is a diagram for explaining the method of the present embodiment. Referring to this drawing, in the advertising method of the present embodiment using a delivery truck, first, a sign material and advertising information are prepared (steps ST1 and ST 2). As an example of the label material, three rectangular thick cardboard sheets 1(1), 1(2), 1(3) are prepared. Needless to say, one block, or four or more blocks can be used. Other signage materials that can be used include wood, metal, ceramic, cloth, synthetic resin, and rubber. It can have an irregular surface, or a perforated surface such as stamped metal.
The advertisement information can be a pre-generated copy 2 of the advertisement. The advertising copy 2 can be in the form of electronic information. For the advertisement copy 2, a photograph such as a photograph taken by an analog camera, a positive or negative picture thereof, a photograph of a magazine catalog, or the like can be used.
Next, the substrate treatment agent was sprayed on the surface 1a of the tag materials 1(1) to 1(3) using a spray gun 3 to form a water-based ink image-receiving layer (step ST 3). A roll coater or the like can be used instead of the spray gun 3, or a brush for application can be used. This process is of course not required in the case where a material is used which has been pre-coated with a water-based ink image-receiving layer. Further, in the case where the label material is provided with a hydrophobic surface of plastic, metal or the like, an image receiving layer having prescribed water receptivity can be appropriately formed to fix the water-based ink on the surface.
Next, the advertising information of the advertising copy 2 is printed on the three pieces of signage materials 1(1) to 1(3) using the inkjet printing system 4 (step ST 4). The ink jet printing system 4 includes a personal computer 5, a scanner 6 for scanning in an image, an input section 7 such as a keyboard, a display device 8 such as a CRT or liquid crystal display device, and an ink jet printer 9.
As the ink jet printer 9, an ink jet printer (product No.: MMP9001R) manufactured and sold by the present applicant is desirably used. Such an ink jet printer is capable of printing on the surface of material media that is 80mm thick, 1118mm wide and up to 2000mm long.
In this embodiment, the image on a single piece of the advertising copy 2, which is a small size, such as a4 or B4, etc., is divided and printed on the surfaces of three large-sized sign materials 1(1) to 1 (3). Of course, in situations where advertising space is not too large, it can be printed on the surface of a piece of signage material.
The scanner 6 is used to read in the image information of the advertising copy 2, the advertising copy 2 is edited in the personal computer 5, and is printed on three pieces of signage materials 1(1) to 1(3) by controlling the ink-jet printer 9, divided into three parts.
With the method of the present embodiment, when the advertisement information is being printed, the mark 22 indicating the mounting position of the fixing fitting 21 for mounting the advertisement sign is printed at the same time. For example, the mark 22 is printed at four spots on the surface of each of the advertising signs 10(1) to 10 (3).
Next, after printing, a spray gun 11 or the like is used to apply the advertising placards 1(1) to 1(3) with the surface treatment agent to form a protective film blocking ultraviolet rays or having ultraviolet light absorbing properties (step ST 5). The protective film desired to be formed is one having weather resistance, water resistance and durability. The result is an advertising sign 10 divided into three pieces 10(1) to 10 (3).
After the three advertising placards 10(1) to 10(3) have been thus produced, the advertising placards 10(1) to 10(3) are removably mounted to, for example, the side faces 14 of the canopy 13 of the transport truck 12 (step ST 6). In this embodiment, a U-shaped insert bracket 15 is mounted to the side 14 of the canopy 13 of the haul truck 12 using screws or the like. Instead of screws, adhesive tape or adhesive or the like can be used. Between the insertion bracket 15 and the side 14, an insertion slot into which the advertising placards 10(1) to 10(3) can be inserted from the rear end of the vehicle in parallel with the side 14 is formed. Needless to say, the insertion can be from the front end, or from the top, or from the bottom.
In this embodiment, for each of the advertising signs 10(1) to 10(3) in the inserted state, the holes 23 for mounting the fixing fittings 21 are each formed on the side 14 of the transport truck 12 at the position on which the mark 22 is printed.
The advertising placards are placed in an installed state on the transport truck 12 by inserting the advertising placards 10(1) to 10(3) into the insertion brackets 15 from the rear of the vehicle and fixing them to the side 14 of the transport truck 12 using fixing fittings 21 that pass through the printed positions of the marks 22 on each of the advertising placards 10(1) to 10(3), thereby preventing the placards from being blown off by wind when the vehicle is moving to turn. By means of these three advertising signs, the side 14 of the transport truck 12 forms an advertising surface.
In the advertising method using the transport truck according to this embodiment, an ink jet printer manufactured and sold by the present applicant, which is capable of printing even on the surface of a large-sized medium, is used to print advertising information on the surface of a large-sized signage material. This eliminates the initial cost for items such as the platen fee which is a basic item in the prior art, and images, letters, etc. processed by a personal computer can be directly printed on the surface of the label material. This makes it possible to significantly reduce the cost of producing the advertising sign compared to the prior art.
Moreover, in this embodiment, the surface of the tag material is coated with a substrate treating agent and, after printing, the surface is coated with a surface treating agent. The selection of an appropriate agent makes it possible to use as a signage material a material having high water absorption properties or a hydrophobic surface that is not suitable for printing using water-based inks. The sign material can thus be selected from essentially any desired material, making it possible to use a sign material that is less expensive than in the prior art, enabling the cost of advertising to be reduced.
As the substrate treating agent and the surface treating agent, those proposed by the present applicant (disclosed in JP2000-190462A, JP2000-301707A, JP 2001-30615A) are preferably used.
In particular, according to the method it is possible to use cardboard as the label material. Cardboard is a resource that can be recycled as waste, and it is lighter than advertising signage materials commonly used in the prior art and is easy to handle. It has also been demonstrated that if a water repellent is used as a surface treatment, it can last for about six months exposed to the outside, mounted on the roof of a transport truck.
(other modes of embodiment)
In the above example, a transport truck is used, but the invention can also be applied in the same way when instead the side of a bus or the like is used as advertising space. The invention can of course also be applied when body surfaces other than transport trucks or buses are used as advertising space.
The structure for removably mounting the advertising sign to the canopy of a transport truck or the like may of course have a different composition than the above.
Moreover, although in the above examples one substrate treating agent and surface treating agent are applied, it is of course possible to omit one or both of these depending on the surface properties of the tag material used. If an oil-based ink (solvent ink) is used, printing can be performed directly on the surface of the hydrophobic material without using a substrate treatment agent.
The advertising sign mounting surface of a transport truck canopy or the like can also be used as an advertising space of a transport company or the like, for example. That is, for the sign without installation, the surface printed with the advertisement of the carrier is exposed, and when the sign is installed, the advertisement is hidden by the sign.
Industrial applicability
As described hereinabove, in the method of advertising using a transport truck according to the present invention, a cardboard or the like is used as a label material on which advertising information is printed using an inkjet printer, an advertising label is produced, and is removably mounted to a transport truck canopy or the like to advertise. Thus, the advertising method according to the present invention, unlike in the prior art, eliminates the cost of producing a printing plate, making it possible to advertise at a significantly low cost. It also has an advantage of being able to produce an advertising sign having a complicated design or the like in a short time in response to the desire of an advertiser.
Another advantage is that by applying a substrate treatment and/or surface treatment, it is possible to easily use cheap, recyclable and easily processable materials such as cardboard as the label material.
