Description

Floor nozzle for vacuum cleaner
Technical Field
The invention relates to a floor nozzle for a vacuum cleaner with a cleaning head having a substantially rectangular bottom with two narrow sides and two broad sides and being provided at its bottom side with a suction nozzle which extends over the width of the cleaning head and is intended for cleaning the floor with vacuum. At least one brush for cleaning the vertical surface is arranged outside the dust collection head, a brush surface is arranged on the brush, and the brush surface is composed of a plurality of brush hairs which are arranged at intervals along the transverse direction. The floor nozzle operates as a static floor nozzle without rotating fittings and is provided with an underside sliding bottom surface on which a nozzle is arranged, which is shaped in the form of a channel. Other brush arrangements provided with a rotatably driven brush roller also fall within the scope of this term. The brush roller is arranged in the brush roller cavity of the dust collection head, and the bottom side of the dust collection head is also provided with an opening forming a suction nozzle. The brush device may be provided with a movable suction pipe connection member and a suction pipe formed as a manipulating rod. Within the scope of the invention, it is also possible to consider: the floor nozzle is a fixed part of the vacuum cleaner, which is also shown as an upright vacuum cleaner.
Background
A floor cleaning nozzle having the above characteristics is disclosed in us patent 4198727. In the front region of the outer surface of the cleaning head, the floor nozzle is provided with a brush holder in the form of a U which is arranged at a distance in the transverse direction, while the cleaning head is positioned in the longitudinal direction with respect to the working direction. In the bristle holder, the dust suction head is provided with a round hole which is separated from the ground by a certain distance and is used for sucking dust particles scattered by the bristle holder. If the brush has a small horizontal extension, it can be difficult to slide the floor nozzle over a wall surface or a vertical surface to be cleaned. Therefore, there is a need for improved sweeping operations on vertical surfaces. In addition, the outer surface of the cleaning head may rub against a wall surface and may scratch the wall surface when vacuuming floor areas adjacent to walls and sensitive surfaces.
DE9013080U1 discloses a floor nozzle with a cleaning head, around the outer surface of which a continuous bristle strip is arranged for cleaning vertical surfaces. With such floor nozzles, the cleaning operation is limited because the functions of the brush and the vacuum cannot be coordinated with each other.
Us 6381802B1 discloses a floor nozzle for a vacuum cleaner having a cleaning head with a suction nozzle at the underside for vacuum cleaning the floor and a plurality of brushes on the outside of the cleaning head for cleaning the edge surfaces of the floor. The floor nozzle includes a rotating brush roller. The brush should be able to sweep areas that the brush roller does not contact. The device is not provided with components that enable vacuum cleaning of vertical surfaces.
Us 4888852 discloses a floor nozzle for a vacuum cleaner having a cleaning head, the device being provided with a suction nozzle extending across the width of the cleaning head. On this device, no surface is mounted for cleaning the skirting board.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above problems, the present invention provides a floor nozzle for a vacuum cleaner that can simultaneously clean a vertical surface such as a skirting board in the form of a carpet molding (carpet molding) when the device is used to vacuum-clean a floor located in the vicinity of a wall.
According to the invention, this problem is solved by: the brush surface extends substantially the full height of the cleaner head and also extends along the narrow or wide side of the cleaner head which defines the boundary of the base; a plurality of inlets for sucking dust on the edge of the floor are arranged on the suction nozzle arranged on the narrow side surface of the dust suction head. With the device of the invention, a wide strip on a wall can be cleaned. Because the brush can have a greater length, it is possible to thoroughly clean the wall surface in one operation. The suction nozzle extending over the entire width of the cleaning head, the inflow opening on the narrow side of the cleaning head, and the front nozzle edge make it possible to perform direct, effective vacuum cleaning of dust particles brushed off by the brush surface. The brush with a greater length also facilitates the guiding of the suction head along a vertical surface, further improving the sweeping action. In addition, scratching or damage to sensitive surfaces can be substantially avoided.
The brushes are preferably arranged on two outer surfaces which are oriented in the direction of suction of the suction head and which form the narrow sides. In this way, by cleaning with the cleaning head arranged in the conventional manner transversely to the cleaning direction, skirting boards located in the vicinity of and bounding the wall can be cleaned at the same time, so that already loosened dust particles are sucked away directly by vacuum via the transverse flow inlet.
According to another preferred embodiment of the invention, the cleaning head is provided with a suction pipe connection which is movable about two axes and which can be manipulated to position the cleaning head transversely and longitudinally with respect to the cleaning direction. In such floor cleaning nozzle embodiments, the brush is disposed on the wider side of the cleaning head. Thus, the brush surface is very large. The edge of the front suction nozzle of the dust suction head can effectively suck away the dust particles scattered by the brush.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the cleaning head is connected to a housing provided with the cleaning channel in a manner rotatable about a vertical axis.
The brush may be removably mounted to the cleaning head by means of a clamp, detent connection, threaded connection, dovetail guide and the like. The brush preferably has a brush back which is adapted to be connected to the connection region of the cleaning head and which is rigidly mounted (positive fit) on the cleaning head. Thus, the brush can be easily removed from the cleaner head when required, and a new brush can be used instead of a used one. Furthermore, the material of the brush should be suitable for various applications.
Within the scope of the invention, it is also conceivable to form the brush integrally with the cleaning head in an injection molding process. This makes it possible to reduce the manufacturing cost of the floor nozzle provided with an outer brush according to the present invention. Furthermore, the adhesive is also omitted.
Drawings
