Technical Field
The invention relates to an adhesive breast-shaped lifting system.
Background
For any woman who desires a larger, more upright breast but is not satisfied with the size of his own breast for any reason, one of two methods must be selected to increase the size of his own breast: use of less than satisfactory external wear, such as foam breast pads and the like; or undergo surgery, with a breast implant. Surgical breast implants have been chosen with the attendant risks inherent in any surgical procedure and are quite expensive. In addition to the risks inherent to surgery, a potential health hazard may result from the particular breast implant used, i.e., the siliceous breast implant. Thus, women who wish to build themselves in a way that is not permanent and does not pose a health risk will choose one of a variety of external wear pieces.
The external wear has the characteristics that the appearance and the touch feeling are natural, and the external wear can be used for adding postures of the existing breasts of the women with the heightened positions without damaging the style. In addition to heightening the existing breast, these exo-dons have been designed to replace surgically removed female breasts. An external garment worn for the purpose of augmenting or replacing a human breast, called a breast form, includes a series of breast augments, breast inserts, and breast prostheses. A popular type of breast form is made of silica gel material completely enclosed by plastic film material. The breast forms have the advantage of having an appearance resembling a natural human breast when worn and a natural feel to the user, thereby enhancing the user's self-image and confidence. Other breast forms, such as foam breast pads, water-filled breast pads, and the like, do not impart such vital essence to the user, but rather have an unnatural appearance and an odd tactile impression.
In addition to the need for devices and methods for enhancing breast size and shape, there is also a need for devices and methods that can be used when wearing various types of garments. For example, women who wear a vest or camisole do not want to wear a conventional bra. Therefore, bras without a back and a belt have been known. Such backless and strapless bras have used non-permanent adhesive tape, such as disposable double-sided adhesive tape, to secure the bra to the user. However, conventional backless strapless bras take only limited measures to increase the size and shape of the breasts. For example, conventional backless strapless bras are provided with standard sized cups that are not designed to conveniently accommodate breast forms, and do not employ adhesive strips that allow the user to conveniently remove and reuse the bra.
Accordingly, there is a need for a breast lift system that provides the benefits of both breast shapes and strapless bras. Further, there is a need for such a system having a permanent and reusable adhesive tape that allows the user to secure the breast forms where desired without fear of dislodgement of the breast forms. Moreover, such a system should have a structure that can support the breast and enhance the cleavage.
A need also exists for an improved breast form that is specifically designed to accommodate a female's pendulous breast, for use with an improved breast form lifting system. Conventional breast forms have a structure for elevating the lower portion of the user's breasts and are therefore thicker in the area overlying that portion. As a result, women with pendulous breasts may be less suitable for using the conventional breast forms, which only further exacerbate the degree of breast ptosis, since the lower portion of the breast is already larger and rounded than the upper portion of the breast. Accordingly, it is desirable to have a breast-shaped lifting system that makes the breast shape particularly suitable for counteracting the sagging phenomenon of the breast.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention is directed to a method for providing a breast-shaped lifting system with a desired breast size and shape and a desired cleavage and breast support for a user.
The technical problem of the present invention is achieved by the following three technical solutions.

Detailed Description
The breast-shaped lifting system formed by the elements according to the invention comprises, in principle, a pair of breast-shaped bodies joined by reinforcing connecting elements 14. Fig. 1 shows a front view of a breast-shaped lifting system 10 of the present invention. The breast lifting system 10 includes a pair of breast shapes 12 which are connected by a connecting member 14 between opposite surfaces of the two breast shapes 12. The breast forms 12 each have a pair of pressure sensitive adhesive layers 33, thereby enabling the breast forms 12 to be removably adhered to one another on the left and right breasts of a user. The breast forms 12 are separate items that can be placed independently on the user's left and right breasts. Each breast form 12 has the same structure, but one is designed to support and elevate the left breast and the other is designed to support and elevate the right breast. Furthermore, each breast form 12 is designed to be part of a coupling link 14, thereby allowing the link 14 to engage the two breast forms.
Generally, the user positions the pressure sensitive adhesive layer 33 of each breast form 12 of the breast form lifting system 10 on the left and right breasts, and then engages the breast forms 12 with each other by coupling the connectors 14. The user can create varying degrees of cleavage and support of the breasts, depending on where the breast forms 12 are positioned on the user's breasts and how close the breast forms are drawn toward each other by the attachment 14. Second, the placement of the attachment member 14 relative to the top and bottom of the breast form 12 will affect the shape of the cleavage and the degree of breast support. Thus, the breast form lifting system 10 enables a user to position the breast forms 12 in the proper location, creating a desired breast shape, and also allows the user to engage the breast forms with connectors 4 to control the shape of the cleavage and the degree of breast support.
The breast lift system 10 can be constructed from a variety of different types of breast shapes 12. The breast form 12 of the present invention is intended to encompass various types of external wear, all as wearable to augment or replace a user's breasts. These include, but are not limited to, a milk-shaped body 12 made of a quantity of silicone wrapped in a thermoplastic film material. The breast forms 12 also include any liquid, air or gel enclosed by any foam, plastic, rubber, fabric, or molded non-woven fabric, as well as any solid material suitable for extracorporeal breast augmentation, such as foam, soft rubber, fabric, molded non-woven fabric, or plastic. Accordingly, a wide variety of materials, configurations, and dimensions are contemplated as falling within the scope of the inventive breast form 12.
The front view of the breast forms 12 is illustrated in fig. 1. Each breast form 12 has a top 16, a bottom 18 (opposite the top), an outer side 20, and an inner side 22 (opposite the outer side). Each breast form 12 also defines an inner top 24, an inner middle 26, and an inner bottom 28. Referring to fig. 2, each breast form 12 defines two surfaces relative to the user: an inner surface 30 facing the user's breast and an outer surface 32 facing away from the inner surface and away from the user's breast. The inner surface 30 includes a pressure sensitive adhesive layer 33 to adhere the breast form to the user's skin.
The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 33 may comprise any type of pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) suitable for removably adhering the breast-form to the skin of a user, such as various types and forms of double-sided adhesive tape and PSAs that permanently adhere to the breast-form. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer 33 allows the user to place each breast form in the proper position on the user's breast to create the desired breast shape and appearance. A PSA including a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 33 in varying amounts and types as appropriate; also, the portion of the inner surface having the pressure sensitive adhesive may be varied as appropriate. Various factors, such as the size, shape and weight of the breast-shaped body, affect the amount, type and placement of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer 33.
The pressure sensitive adhesive layer 33 is preferably a reusable PSA and is permanently adhered to the inner surface 30 of the breast form 12. Unlike conventional adhesives, the pressure sensitive adhesive layer 33 is not easily displaced once positioned on the user and can be reused without losing its tackiness. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer 33 has a greater adhesion to the breast form than to the skin of the user. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer can still withstand vigorous movements and pressure from the user without slipping and can even withstand water or perspiration without becoming less tacky. In fact, even if the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer dries (i.e., binds unwanted particles such as dirt, lint, or dander, etc.), it may be washed with soap and water to remove the particles and restore the tackiness altogether.
The breast forms 12 are adapted to receive a connector 14. The attachment member 14 can take a variety of different forms, but will typically have two or more separate components, with a first component secured to one breast form 12 and a second component secured to another breast form 12. The first and second parts of connecting member 14 are designed to snap-fit into one another in an attempt to engage the two breast forms. Furthermore, the individual components of the attachment member 14 may be permanently or removably secured to the breast shapes 12. The manner in which the attachment elements 14 are secured to the breast shapes 12 will depend on the particular configuration of the breast shapes 12 and attachment elements 14.
The breast form lifting system 10 shown in fig. 1 can represent various combinations of breast forms 12 and attachments 14. In one embodiment, each breast form 12 includes a quantity of silicone material encased in a soft like thermoplastic film material such as polyethylene. The thermoplastic film material may be in the form of two separate sheets that are heat sealed together along the perimeter where the inner surface 30 meets the outer surface 32. Further, the breast forms may optionally include a fabric layer permanently bonded to the thermoplastic film material.
The fabric layer and thermoplastic film material are permanently and intimately joined by heat lamination or other similar methods. Referring to FIG. 3, a side cross-sectional view of the breast form 12 is shown, wherein the breast form has two sheets 34 of thermoplastic film material, with a quantity of silicone material 36 contained therein, and wherein one of the sheets 34 further has a fabric layer 40, as appropriate. The two sheets 34 are heat sealed along the periphery of the breast form 12 at a bond point 38. A fabric layer 40 is permanently bonded to the sheet 34 defining the inner surface 30. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer 33 is permanently adhered to the fabric layer 40. If desired, the fabric layer 40 may instead be bonded to the sheet 34 defining the outer surface 32, or may be bonded to both sheets 34 simultaneously. The fabric layer 40 may be made of any suitable material, such as a material that is stretchable in two or four directions, thereby allowing the breast form 12 to conform to the shape of the user's breast.
Another embodiment of the breast lift system 10 includes one or more breast forms 120 specifically designed to respond to a pendulous breast. The conventional breast form 12 is less suitable for women with pendulous breasts because it has a thicker thickness on the breast form and near the lower portion of the breast form 12, which only further exacerbates the phenomenon of sagging of the user's breast when the breast form 12 is positioned on the user's breast. A breast form 120 designed to accommodate a pendulous breast is shown in side view in fig. 4.
More particularly, the breast form 120 shown in fig. 4 has a top portion 140 and a bottom portion 160 opposite the top portion. The breast form 120 also defines a peak center 180 that is approximately midway between the top 140 and bottom 160. The portion of the breast form 120 above the center 180 defines an upper portion 200 and the portion of the breast form 120 below the center 180 defines a lower portion 220. The breast shapes 120 have a greater thickness at the upper portion 200 than at the lower portion 220. This design is evident from the side view of fig. 4, where the upper portion 200 has a thickness that is significantly greater than the thickness of the lower portion 220. For this reason, the breast form 120 can offset the natural effect of gravity and compensate for the sagging of the user's breast by increasing the size of the relatively flat and non-sagging portion of the breast, thereby creating a relatively plump and more uniform breast shape.
The attachment elements 14 may be attached to either the inner surface 30 or the outer surface 32 of the breast form 12, or both. Further, the connector 14 may be coupled to either the sheet 34 of thermoplastic film material or the fabric layer 40, or both. Since the particular material used to construct the breast shapes 12 will vary depending on the situation (i.e., thermoplastic film, rubber, fabric, etc.), the material to which the connecting members 14 are attached should be able to withstand a variety of different pulling forces without separating from the breast shapes 12.
Referring to fig. 5a and 5b, the connector 14 is shown as an adjustable buckle assembly. In fig. 5a, the attachment member 14 has a first section 42 and a second section 44, wherein the first section 42 is associated with the inner side 22 of one of the breast shapes 12 and the second section 44 is associated with the inner side 22 of the other breast shape 12. The first and second members 42, 44 are designed to snap onto each other in an attempt to engage the two breast forms 12. Regardless of which of the breast shapes 12 first and second sections 42, 44 are joined, it is sufficient that first and second sections 42, 44 face each other so that they snap into each other. First component 42 is shown having a clasp 46 adapted to snap into a plurality of tabs 48 disposed on second component 44. The first and second components 42, 44 are shown in this view prior to the snap-fit condition. Fig. 5b shows the first component 42 snapped onto the second component 44, such that the connector 14 engages the two breast forms 12. The clasp 46 is shown here snapped on to the first of three tabs 48 of the second component 44. With connector 14 adjustable, the user can then snap button 46 to the other tab 48, which causes the two breast forms to draw closer together, thereby creating a more pronounced cleavage between the user's breasts.
In fig. 5a and 5b, connecting element 14 is shown permanently affixed to breast form 12. More particularly, the first and second sections 42, 44 are permanently affixed to the inside of the two breast shapes 12. However, the first and second sections 42, 44 are removably secured to the breast shapes 12. For example, the first and second members 42, 44 can be joined to the breast forms 12 by a button-like element that snaps into a small hole in each breast form 12. This allows the two parts of the connector 14 to be removed from the breast shapes 12, thereby allowing the user to wear two breast shapes 12 that are not engaged.
Another embodiment of a breast lift system 10 is shown in fig. 6. Likewise, the breast forms 12 thereof may be of any suitable type. But the connector 14 is a single unit as opposed to having two separate parts that snap into one another. In the single unit shown, connector 14 has a body 50 with a pair of hooks 52 secured to each end of the body. The body 50 may be made of any suitable material, such as plastic, metal, or various fabrics, such as elastic fabrics. Clasp 52 is adapted to slide into and snap into engagement with a pair of clasps 54 secured to the inner side 22 of breast form 12. Here, the haptics 54 are shown permanently affixed to the inner side 22 of each breast form 12 and are sized to provide an integral fit between the hooks 52 and the haptics 54. The clasps 52 may be manufactured to disengage from the breast shapes 12 and may vary in size. Generally, the user may engage the two breast forms 12 by sliding one of the hooks 52 into one of the loops 54 and then sliding the other hook 52 into the other loop 54.
Yet another embodiment of the connector 14 is shown in fig. 7. Similar to fig. 6, the attachment member 14 is a single unit but is snap-fitted into the opening through which each breast-shaped body 12 extends. The connector 14 has a rigid body 56 with a pair of rigid arms 58 extending from each end of the body 56. Rigid arm 58 is adapted to snap into a snap ring 60 extending from the inside 22 of each breast form 12. When the rigid arm 58 is snapped into the snap ring 60, the two breast forms 12 are engaged.
The single unit connecting members 12 shown in fig. 6 and 7 may be made in more than one piece, one by one, or may be configured to couple (either permanently or removably) to one or more of the breast forms 12. For example, in fig. 6, instead of a pair of hooks 52 fixed to the connector body 50, a single hook 52 may be fixed to one end of the body 50, and the other end of the body 50 is fixed to one of the breast-shaped bodies 12. In this configuration, one of the breast forms 12 may have a tab 54 extending from its inner side, while the other breast form 12 may be provided with the body 50 of the connector 14 and coupled by a hook 52. There are thus a number of possible configurations of the attachment member 14 and the manner in which it joins the breast shapes 12.
Yet another embodiment of the breast lift system 10 can be achieved by making minor changes to the attachment member 14 and the breast form 12. For example, referring to fig. 5a, the first member 42 and the second member 44 may be complementary portions of velcro. Similarly, the shape of the retaining ring 60 shown in FIG. 7 may be modified to be circular, or it may be formed as a metal or plastic ring. Furthermore, the connecting member 14 may be a length of wire, or the like, that passes through the loop to allow the user to tie a knot to engage the two breast forms. Fig. 8 shows yet another embodiment in which connector 14 includes a mounting strip 62 and a pair of connectors 64. The mounting strip 62 has a plurality of holes adapted to snap receive the connectors 64. The breast forms 12 each have a clasp 60. The user engages breast form 12 by aligning a hole in mounting strap 62 with retaining ring 60 and then inserting connector 64 into retaining ring 60 and mounting strap 62. By engaging the breast forms 12 close to each other on the mounting band 62, the user can adjust the shape of the cleavage.
Any portion of the attachment member 14 that is permanently or removably attached, and in what manner the breast shapes 12 are attached, may vary depending on the circumstances. Likewise, the portions of the breast shapes suitable for coupling with the attachment member 14. The attachment member 14 and various portions of the breast form 12 may be joined by sewing, heat sealing, gluing, or any other suitable method. For example, the connector 14 may be part of a component that is secured to the breast form 12. Referring to fig. 10, the breast-shaped lifting system 10 of fig. 6 may further include a pair of connection patches 66. The attachment patches 66 are each a component with a clasp 54, wherein the clasp 54 receives the hook 52 in an attempt to engage the two breast forms 12. Thus, the haptics 54 are integrally joined to the connective patches 66 which are respectively joined to the breast shapes 12. The connection patches 66 may have a variety of shapes and sizes, and may be made of a variety of materials, such as fabric or film. For example, if the assembly is made of a thermoplastic film, it may be heat sealed to the interior or exterior surface of the breast form 12, or the attachment patch 66 may have a permanently adhered layer of adhesive, thereby allowing the assembly to be removably adhered to the breast form 12. Thus, there are a number of alternatives for coupling the attachment elements 14 to the breast shapes 12.
The various features of the breast-form lifting system 10 allow it to be used both as a replacement for conventional brassieres and to provide an enhancement to the size and shape of the breast. In addition, the user can customize the shape of the cleavage and the degree of breast support. Unlike conventional brassieres, the breast form lifting system 10 of the present invention does not have shoulder straps and cups, which are typically required to support the breasts, external-worn breast forms, or heightening devices of the user. The user can wear the breast-shaped lifting system of the present invention without wearing any other type of bra. The presence of both the pressure sensitive adhesive layer 33 and the attachment member 14 distinguishes the breast form 12 of the present invention from currently available brassieres and lifting systems. Because the breast forms 12 are positioned directly on the user's breasts and because of the specially designed pressure sensitive adhesive layer 33, the breast forms 12 can remain in the desired position until removal by the user is complete. Furthermore, a user may wear nearly all types of garments while wearing the breast-lift system of the present invention. The contours and structure of the breast forms 12 of the present invention do not appear even though the tightest garment is worn. Secondly, the breast forms 12 may be made of silicone, thereby making the breast forms 12 extremely realistic, even if the user is embraced by others, the breast forms 12 are not noticeable.
The breast-shaped lifting system 10 of the present invention allows the user to lift his or her self-esteem without risk or encumbrance, i.e., any of the phenomena that are currently common. Moreover, the system 10 of the present invention is well suited for use with patients after mastectomy, as the left and right breast forms 12 can be conveniently made in different sizes. Also, since the breast shapes 12 are individual units, the user can mix and match different sizes, and engage via the connectors to suit his particular needs, while still enjoying the full benefits of the lift system.
By drawing the breast forms 12 closer together and coupling the connecting members 14, the user creates a more pronounced cleavage as the user adheres the breast forms 12 to their skin and creates the desired appearance and shape. Furthermore, if the user wishes to support the breast, the breast forms may be positioned at a location below the breast and protruding outward from the hinges, and then the breast forms 12 may be joined by the attachment members 14, or alternatively a breast form lifting system 10 may be used with the attachment members 14 positioned at a location below the breast forms 12.
The placement of connecting elements 14 relative to the top 16 and bottom 18 of breast shapes 12 controls the degree of support. For example, the position of connector 14 in FIG. 9 can be compared to the position of connector 14 in FIG. 1. In fig. 9, the connecting elements 14 are positioned at the inside bottom 28 of the breast forms 12, so that as the breast forms 12 are brought together and engaged by the connecting elements 14, the user's breasts are brought together and held up. Thus, the breast lift system 10 of the present invention can provide more or less support by adjusting the placement of the attachment members 14.
In addition to the features and embodiments described above, it is to be understood that the invention includes all equivalent forms of the structures and systems described herein and is not to be limited to the disclosed embodiments. For example, the attachment member 14 may be an integral part of the breast form 12, either affixed or removable. All such modifications and variations are considered to be within the scope of the present invention and the scope of the invention is, therefore, indicated by the appended claims.

Claims (8)

1. An adhesive breast-shaped lifting system for replacing a traditional bra is characterized in that:
a pair of breast forms, wherein each breast form comprises:
a certain amount of silica gel is encapsulated among the thermoplastic film materials;
an inner surface facing the user's chest, wherein a substantial area of the inner surface comprises a pair of pressure sensitive adhesive layers permanently bonded to the thermoplastic film material for securing the breast form to the user's chest;
an outer side facing the underarm of the user; and
an inner side facing in a direction opposite to the outer side, wherein each of the breast forms is secured to the user's chest by a separate pressure sensitive adhesive layer; and
a connecting member adapted to connect the breast shapes, wherein the connecting member is located inside each breast shape.
2. The adhesive breast form elevating system of claim 1, wherein: the connecting piece comprises a first part and a second part, wherein the first part is connected with one breast-shaped body, the second part is connected with the other breast-shaped body, and the first part and the second part are suitable for being mutually buckled.
3. The adhesive breast form elevating system of claim 2, wherein: the first member and the second member are removably coupled to the breast-shaped body.
4. The adhesive breast form elevating system of claim 1, wherein: the connector is a single unit and is adapted to couple the medial side of the breast-shaped body.
5. The adhesive breast form elevating system of claim 1, wherein: the pressure sensitive adhesive layer adheres more strongly to the inner surface of the breast form than to the skin of the user.
6. The adhesive breast form elevating system of claim 1, wherein: the or one of the breast-shaped bodies comprises an upper part and a lower part, and the thickness of the upper part is larger than that of the lower part.
7. A method of operation of an adhesive breast lifting system as claimed in any one of the preceding claims, wherein: comprises the following steps:
positioning a pair of separate breast forms on a user's breast;
adhering a pressure sensitive adhesive layer disposed on the inner surface of each breast form to the skin of the user;
the breast forms are connected by a connecting piece suitable for fixedly connecting the inner surfaces of the breast forms, so that the breast forms are connected together to increase the cleavage of the breast of the user.
8. The method of claim 7, further comprising the step of: further comprising the step of supporting the user's breasts by drawing the user's breasts upwardly closer together when the attachment members engage the breast form.
