Abstract

A dehumidifier comprises an evaporator, a condenser and a fan (5) for blowing dry air into a room. The dehumidifier includes a first air outlet port (19) formed in the upper surface of a casing (A), which port (19) includes a louvre for changing the direction of air passing through the port from an upwardly to a rearwardly direction (see Figs.3 and 4, not shown). The dehumidifier includes a second air outlet port (15) formed in the front surface of the casing. The air duct (16) communicating with the second air outlet port (15) extends downwardly at an angle towards the port (15) and includes an air direction guide plate (17) on the upper inner wall of the duct (16). The downward air flow can be used to dry a floor or carpet.
