Description
The invention relates to a digital signal transmission system for information telegrams for building system engineering, in which user devices, for example of the type having functions such as actuators and/or sensors and/or analyzers, can be connected to a bus via coupling elements having interfaces. In the known system the user devices are connected to the bus via a bus coupler (EP-B-0365696). Such bus couplers have, inter alia, means for forming a physical connection with the bus, means for transmitting information telegrams, and such means for communication and for user-related intelligence. So-called subscriber devices or terminal devices can then be connected to the bus coupler. In this case, a bus coupler with a large number of functions is provided at each connection point.
In another known digital signal transmission system for corresponding terminal devices, a function-independent universal interface is used, which together with the bus forms the basic installed component. An external device adapter for determining the function is fitted to the universal interface, which adapter is accordingly provided with a large number of functions.
The object on which the invention is based is to develop a digital signal transmission system for building system engineering which does not require any fixed or extensive functions both on the subscriber side and on the bus side.
The solution of the object is achieved by a digital signal transmission system for building systems engineering as claimed in claim 1. The coupling element is provided with a plurality of fastening functions for the subscriber device, such as switches, and the subscriber device is also provided with an associated connection point. Furthermore, the coupling element is provided with a number of connection locations for connecting modules of various functional types to the user equipment. The function types may be: an actuator function and/or a sensor function and/or an analyzer function and/or a telephone function and/or a television function. The coupling element may also be configured to connect devices having various types of functionality. The coupling elements are designed to introduce and distribute energy to and from the user equipment, user functions and information, respectively. The coupling element is furthermore designed to define various functions exclusively in the subscriber device and/or in a module of the subscriber device by means of the information telegrams on the bus side.
The coupling elements are thus provided with a number of fastening functions for connecting user equipment, and they also have connection locations where modules or equipment can be directly connected. Thus, each coupling location on the bus need only provide the basic functionality. Other functions may be provided by a dedicated access module to which the control panel or device components are connected or provided. It is also possible to connect the user equipment directly at said connection location.
According to one refinement, a connection point for the control module is formed on the input side of the coupling element for the purpose of supplying energy. The control module can be provided for sensitive protection of the user equipment and can also be implemented as a test site for current and/or voltage. The control module may also be implemented as an energy management center. With this energy management perspective, protection or control functions may additionally be provided.
The coupling elements can be extended in their connection position by additional coupling elements that can be fitted. Said additional coupling element can exploit the basic function of the coupling element to which it is connected. And therefore does not need to be designed for this purpose per se.
The invention will be described in detail below with the aid of an embodiment which is illustrated briefly in the attached drawings:
fig. 1 shows a coupling element in exploded form, with additional coupling elements, a control module and connectable user device modules.
Fig. 2 shows the arrangement of the coupling element and the control module in a perspective view, with the wires drawn transparently.
As shown in fig. 1, a bus 2 is connected to the coupling element 1. A control module 3 can be connected to the energy side of the coupling element 1, to which a supply line 4 is connected for supplying energy. An additional coupling element 5 of the first type and an additional coupling element 6 of the second type can be connected to the coupling element 1 in order to expand the connection position. The coupling element 1 is provided with a number of fixing functions for the user equipment. For this purpose, it has a plurality of connection points 8 on its connection side 7 for devices with an operating surface. In addition, the coupling element 1 has connection locations 9 for connecting modules 10 of various functional types to the user equipment. The module 10 may also be part of a user equipment, to which other device parts of the user equipment may also be connected.
In the exemplary embodiment shown in fig. 1, a connection point 11 is formed for the control module 3 on the energy supply input side of the coupling element 1. The control module may have a sensitive protection for the user equipment. It can also be implemented as a test site for current and/or voltage. The energy supplied via the power supply line 4 is supplied to the part of the device connected to the connection points 8, 9 or to the entire user device after corresponding monitoring. The control module 3 may be configured as a center of energy management. In terms of the connection position, the coupling element 1 can be expanded by further additional coupling elements 5 and 6 that can be assembled. A first type of additional coupling element 5 with a fixing function and a second type of additional coupling element 6 without a fixing function in a part of the area can exploit the basic function of the coupling element 1. They need not be designed for this purpose themselves. With the information telegrams received via the bus 2, various functions can be defined exclusively in the user equipment and parts of the equipment or operating plane, or in modules of the user equipment.
Fig. 2 shows the coupling element 1 with the control module 3 attached thereto in exploded view and in perspective view. In this embodiment, the connection points 8 and 9 of the coupling element 1 are realized in the form of plug-in points. In this case, the connection point 8 in this exemplary embodiment is designed for the introduction of energy, and at the connection point 9, the connection 12 is designed for the input of energy and the connection 13 is designed for the transmission of information. In this exemplary embodiment, a connection point 14 is formed on the coupling element 1 for the first type 5 and the second type 6 of additional modules, depending on the type of connection point 11 of the control module. It should be understood that it is also possible to connect the additional coupling element 6 of the second type directly at said connection location 14, instead of indirectly via the additional coupling element 5 of the first type as shown in fig. 1.
