Abstract

1) The folding aluminium partitions comprised of the profile numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8 have been designed to have a great depth of 25mm and interlock together so as to form the necessary combinations. 2) The great depth into which fits the glass pane provides stability of the connection between glass pane and its frame, and possibly masking any crooked cutting of the glass panes, as well as allowing space for expansions in the structure. Simple angle ties, hinges and screws, found on the market and the simple cutting of the profiles using a circular saw, serve the easy construction and installation of the folding aluminium partition. 3) Advantages of this construction are: the great retaining depth of glass panes and panels. The use of standard parts found on the market. The simple and quick assembly and disassembly. 4) Construction does not exclusively concern partitions and store windows with open, revolving and sliding wooden and aluminium doors, or heavy glass panes, but also partitions over display windows for installation of illuminated signs. 5) Last but not least, the significantly reduced cost of construction as compared to existing partition series.
