Η μηχανή παραγωγής ενέργειας με την δύναμη του ποταμού αποτελείται, σχήμα. 1 από δύο πλωτήρες στους οποίους στηρίζονται, σχήμα. 2 δύο κυλινδρικές κατασκευές, τις οποίες συνδέουμε με καδένα στην οποία στηρίζουμε κάδους σε μικρή απόσταση του ενός από τον άλλον.
