Abstract
Η εφεύρεση αναφέρεται σε μια μέθοδο που μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί για τη μείωση του μεγέθους των πόρων, την επιδιόρθωση ατελειών και γενικά τη βελτίωση των ιδιοτήτων διαχωρισμού μικροπορωδών και νανοποροδών μεμβρανών. Η παρούσα μέθοδος χημικής διείσδυσης ατμών μπορεί να εφαρμοσθεί σε σχετικά χαμηλές θερμοκρασίες (200-300 βαθμοί Κελσίου), όπου είναι εφικτή η χρήση των διαθέσιμων τεχνικών στεγανοποίησης. Με τη μέθοδο αυτή μια μικροπορώδης μεμβράνη που έχει ατέλειες και συνεπώς χαμηλή εκλεκτικότηταμπορεί να μετατραπεί ελεγχόμενα σε μια καθαρά μικροπορώδη και νανοπορώδη μεμβράνη με πολύ αυξημένη εκλεκτικότητα. Οι μικροπορώδεις και νανοπορώδεις μεμβράνες χωρίς ατέλειες, με μέγεθος πόρων κάτω του 1 nm, είναι δυνατό να βρουν εφαρμογές, όπως αναλύονται στην παρούσα αίτηση, σε μια σειρά από διεργασίες διαχωρισμού αερίων, όπως ανάκτηση Η2 και απομάκρυνση αερίων ρυπαντών, διεργασίες διεξάτμισης και νανοδιήθησης καθώς και σε αντιδραστήρες μεμβρανών για την αύξηση του βαθμού μετατροπής με ταυτόχρονο διαχωρισμό ενός προϊόντος αντιδράσεων που χαρακτηρίζονται από περιορισμούς στη θερμοδυναμική ισορροπία.
